Do you have relatives over at your house or do you go to theirs? What dishes will you serve or make to take?

We have tried the pot luck thing but we all live so far aprt My parents and I live in CT 1 sistter inNJ the other sis in VA and my brother is in TX but I have not seehim or his familty since my Dad die ...wow now it will be 4 yr ago. I was thinking it was only a few yrs... any way this seem to be the best for us now . Oh and we all pay our own way . SO now it is not a financil burded on any one.
For x mas we now only buy for the kids. I do make cards or cookings for everyone but that is it..Iknow it is kinda silly but i miss opening things up ..it was fun but this is what we can do .
I try and do what I can to help but it never feels like it is enoihgt the world has so much people in need.

WELL I HAVE NO RELATIVES. THEY ALL LEFT ME WHEN I WAS BORN BECAUSE I WAS SO INCREDIBLY UGLY. BASICALLY THEY MADE A RUN FOR IT. SO I HAVE TO PAY PEOPLE TO PRETEND TO BE MY RELITIVES. BUT THIS YEAR I CANT QUITE AFFORD IT, AFTER ALL IM A ALCHOLIC.
I WILL PROBABLY SERVE LA A CARTE RUBBISH BIN DINNER. SOUNDS YUMMO!

Hi Lizzi,
We are going to my hubby's Family's house in Washington this year. We've had Thanksgiving at our house for the past 8 years or so, so this is the first time in a very long time not having it here at our house. We just moved from out of State and this is where all of hubby's Family is. It will be a nice break though. We are having all the "traditional" items. We are making a couple dips and bringing them. OK, now I am soooooo hungry!!
We will have to do another turkey here after though. There's nothing better than smelling that aroma in your home all day long!!

Hi Julia! Yeah,I know what you mean! We are going to my grandparents house on Thanksgiving Day but my husband had me buy stuff to also make a turkey dinner here! I think he wants to be sure he will have lots of seconds and not just the meal at grandmas that day!Lol
