Well, my little girl finished her first week with a real bang! Yesterday afternoon she started complaining of a sore throat & not feeling well. Then last night, she was up vomiting. She is still complaining of a sore throat but no fever so I guess it is just a virus............arghhh, sick already! She said the teacher doesn't let them wash their hands (which she as been taught to do at home!) - oh, I hate to think of the germs!!! Otherwise, she did well. She got good behavior marks & excellent on all her work. I just hope she doesn't stay sick all the time because they only have so many days they can miss.

YUCK!!!! thanks to her, your poor little girl has to suffer?? NO WAY JOSE!!!! raise some sh*t girl!!!!

YEA! Good girl! I knew she would do great! So happy. Most schools now understand the importance of washing hands for healthier class rooms.

We had to send 2 large bottles of GermX to school along with all her other supplies. I asked her about it and she said the teacher has a bottle sitting on her desk for her to use. Her teacher, unfortunately, is not very nice & she's pregnant so the combination - well you can guess! My sister went to school with her and I won't say what my sister called her when she found out she was the teacher! I am planning on talking to the school nurse & see what she says (she goes to our church!)

That is perfect Shelbysmom. The nurse sends out letters to staff about these things. When I was working it was a policy to have the children wash their hands at bathroom breaks. All had to comply with it. I hope it works out for you guys.

aww sorry to hear your little one is sick shelby :-(

can i give some alternative "advice" ( take it or leave it...no harm done :-)))
buttttt i am a believer in not using the germy go away products....i think it makes you more susceptable to GETTING sick than NOT!!!!.......my brother used all that stuff on his kids....now they are teenagers and they are ALWAYS sick!!!
dont get me wrong....i am a HUGE advocate for hygiene...HUGE!! and i think that teacher should be told that your child should be allowed to wash her hands when you see fit for her too
but i think soap and water are the best ....and that i never minded my kids rolling in or eating dirt as kids....my kids have still had the flu and colds through childhood....some years they dont even get anything ....but they kicked it alot sooner than those who were living in a germ free environment (aka brothers house) and now as they get older they dont seem to get them at all?!?!?....anyhoo sorry so long...just thought i would share :-)
