Ok ladies.... it is apparent that there are different views on the out come of the president election. Some like our new president elect others don't. I know we all have our opinions and would like to voice them, however I am seeing people who normally get along well beginning to carry debates further then a normal healthy debate. Despite our view, opinions and beliefs we must ask our self's...need we argue? Will arguing change any thing? arguing will not change what is. What we can do is make the best of what is.... and hope that whom ever is leading our country will do a good job.

i think it's ok to naturally be upset that the person you voted for didn't win...that's fine. but when someone starts throwing around random and completely inaccurate info, not to mention it being totally discriminating and racist, they are just ASKING for an arguement....i mean common!!!! how did she honestly expect people to react to such a comment?

no it won't solve anything arguing about it. you're right. but i think people were more "correcting" and "informing" her of what IS accurate, rather than arguing....i think there's a difference

Bmes, I don't see any thing you said was argumentative. I just would hate to see things get carried away and have people lose friend ships over it. This is not the only board that this topic is being discussed, its also being talked about at DD. It is one of those topics that are controversial. I too felt the need to speak correcting others. Because it is such a strong subject I also feel the need to take my own advice, and not allow myself to get carried away.

Lindalu, this is why I did not post in the topic...........because it is a VERY hot topic, one that can get very ugly.........therefor, I have chosen not to post my opinionson this in a public forum........

I agree! it has begun to get very heated in Due dates by 2 ladies who I normally get along with well on this site, but when they brought up inaccurate info and topics that had nothing to do with the original post it got pretty ugly very fast! The discrimination was an issue too!

LMFAO!!!! ok...so i HAD to go take a peek over in due dates to see what you were talking about....man alive!!!! it's an all out hair pulling, eye scratching cat fight in there!!! and went waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy off topic...

i have to say we all did pretty good job of staying on topic and keeping it civil!!!

now our post doesn't seem even remotely CLOSE to an arguement!!!

ha ha

Winn, I can see why some wouldn't want to post, It can get pretty heated. I always try to understand anothers feelings for instance the last election when Bush and Kerry were running... I so hoped for Kerry to win. He obviously did not, although I was bummed out and could do nothing about what was I made the best of it and hoped he would be good for the American people.

Also Zoeys rite there are a few ladies at DD that are having a heated debate and it has gone off topic as she said.

Winn you and I spoke briefly about politics after your election. You and I have opposite beliefs you being Conservative and me being Liberal, but did we throw stones at one another because of it? No.... I respected your political party and the beliefs that go with that, just as you did mine. That is what I call a mature discussion not allowing it to escalate. It would be nice to see others do the same.

Yes i agree Lindalu!

I am all for convo, or a healthy debate even......but it seems with this usa election peoples feelings are running pretty high......more so then the regular political emotions that can get involved.......I normally have no problems talking politics.......nope......lol........but this is talked about every where........BIG news! lots of opinions.........
The USA government is not my government, but yet it does effect the whole world, and I think that is why it is so heavily televised all over the globe.
My Hope is that this helps the usa ........
