| I know it is discusting. These people know they are the only game in town, no competition, so they can treat you however they want!! When we moved they got the day wrong for turning on my phone and internet service, 3 days after I had made the date for they were willing to do it. I called using someones cell phone (and hiding in a closet because with their voice activated call direct thing even the kids screaming was screwing it up!!) to check on what the hold up was. They told me "We are sorry we have down for your service to start there Thurs." I said "Well, I KNOW I ordered it for MONDAY!!" I asked them to go ahead and turn it on "No, I am sorry we have the service order for Thursday and that is when it will be done!!". Um, I bet if I did not pay the bill you'd be able to turn off that service in two seconds flat with no problem!! ERG!! Glad it worked out for you and you did have the money on hand...Thank God!! But sorry you had to go through all that hassle!! ↑ |
i do feel fortunate that i had the money..3 months ago it would have been a different story..we would be sitting in the dark..

Something similar happened to me in the summer. We have a long weekend the 1st of July here. I was at home and there was a knock at the door. It's a guy in a jumpsuit telling me he is here to shut off my gas. I was like WTF! I paid my gas bill this month. He had to shut it off and so I got on the phone. Turns out I had paid my electric bill 2x instead of my gas and electric. I didn't realize gas was such a big deal until we went to give Kaden a bath and we had NO HOT WATER! It was horrible. Since it was a long weekend, the couldn't send anyone until at least Tuesday unless it was an emergency. They then told me that they have people come 24 hours a day, so expect them anytime. I told them they had better not fking come in the middle of the night. I have a baby who needs his sleep and a husband who needs to be back early. When they finally did come, they didn't relight my water tank and when I called them back they wanted to charge me another $85 to send someone back. I called my dad and he told me what to do. I lit it myself. ↑ |
