if you bottle feed your baby after the age of one ( or under not really matter) when were you able to get baby off the bottle??? and what can i do to get my boy off the bottle........

he will not go to bed without a bottle!!!!
need help please

sorry. not there yet myself. wish i could help. i've heard that you can just take it away and let them be fussy for a couple of days until they get used to it, but i'm not sure if i'd be able to do that myself. good luck.

Get him a trainer sippy cup - they sell ones with soft spouts and you can graduate up to a proper one when he's comfortable using it.

You need to get him off the bottles for the sake of his teeth!

Get him a nice one with animals 'n' stuff on.

yeah i have tryed the sipper cup but the worst part of it is that he wont go to bed woth out the bottle.... and with his teeth i have really waterd down his milk for his bottles for that reason........

Yeah, swap the bottle for a soft toy. Go and buy him a nice new one and tell him that the bottle as changed into a TEDDY BEAR!!!

He'll be happy with this trade I bet :-D

he was on the dummy about 6 months ago and i took him of that because he was to big for it and i not wanted him to be 2 or 3 with the dummy still in his mouth

lol ellies only 8 months and she wont go to sleep with out a teddy hehe its well cute but thing is she, she likes her face to be coverd lol it worrys me because i dont want her to suffacate but she doesnt put it over her nose so i take it off her once she goes to sleep

he also takes a teddy with him to bed...lol and thats not all he also takes a thomas the tank engine pillow case to bed...lol.... so he has three things that he takes with him and you cant part him with any of them

My toddler has a blankie and it's badly in need of a wash, but I can't get the damn thing away from him! *LOL*

It needs to go to the Toxic Waste Dump, but somehow I think he's still gonna have it when he's 18!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol my little brother was like that with wellys
when my brother was about two he used to have to have his little blue welly he even slept in them they stunk like crap lol
but my dad took him out to the shoe shop and my little brother stole a pair of red wellys lol my mum and dad got him out of it lol hes 14 now hes still ocd lol

I cut the nipples and they were "broken" so my son through them out....had a few nights with lots of crying but less then a week.

my boy wasnt to bad when i took the dummy off him..... i just told him he a big boy now and that dummy was going bye byes and let him watch me throw it in the bin......... and that was it he was fine never asked for it once.... but as soon as i try that with the bottle he goes nuts.....

missy my little guy was the same way :)
It is tough, and you will loose sleep probably for a few nights as will your little guy...but it really does work.

ok thanx guys thats helped heaps..... another thing is is that my partner looks after the boy at night as i work evenings....... and he probly wouldnt do the same thing as i wod.... how do you think i could get round that one...lol

missy it only lasts about three days. OOOOOOh they let ya know for a gooooooood long time this is not what we are liking one bit!!!!!!!! Olivia.....45 mins the first night.......right angry.
Second night........about 10-15
Third..............8-10
Foruth....about 3
Fifth.........done
worth the pain.

If they wake by habbit for some.....just make a QUICK trip to assure your there........dont pick up.......rub back......dont make eye contact........assure just go back to sleep now......and leave......DONT RETURN........before you know it they get it its not going to work. Cry....scream even....but again......they get it. Good luck hon.

well lol if i was you hon..........only then......i would let him do the hop and run from here on in .......no friggin way would i do it anymore. On your own i would tell him....you wanna permeate this for oooooh nother year or so....you get up. Nighty night. lololol. Frankly with my son........thats exactly what i did. Hubby was mighty sorry he didn't listen to me. Oh well!!!

Cut the amount of what ever you put in the bottle by half.
