I think my cut is getting infected.I have been putting sterile salt solution on it and airing it out but its starting to weep.its really hard to keep dry because of the crease and fat roll.unless I lay down all day it will never dry out.aaaarrrrr.I wouldnt change a thing because I love my son so so much but they dont tell you about this stuff at the antinatel classes.

You need to get hold of some non-stick dressings to lay across the wound. This will help to absorb the moisture. Go to the chemists tomorrow and ask for some.

It is difficult to let the air get to it enough. I had this problem, but the dressing helped and solved the problem very quickly.

The signs of infection include: persistant pain, swelling, increased redness, a smelly, weepy discharge (greenish) and you will start to feel unwell.

You're doing the right thing in bathing it in salt, but do try to get hold of some dressings.

get some medical help soon. mine, too, got horribly infected and ended up not closing all the way until my baby was 3 months old.

Hi Rowe. How long has it been now? I had a lot of problems with my c-section. It even broke open 7 months after she was born. Definitely do your best to keep it dry but like you said its not easy. Call your Dr because the last thing you want is an infection. Good luck i am scared to death of my next one in 2 months and I have done it before!
