O M G!!!! i was JUST going to post something similar....i don't know WHAT to do. hubby and I swear alot, but usually we are very careful with swearing in front of the kids, but i know it occasionally slips out. so now Anika is using the F bomb. omg...i could have just DIED when i first heard it!!!!
we were leaving to go to town and she's waiting by the door, and she says to me "mom...open the fkin' door!!!!" i was like WHAT??????????? then she said it again...and i thought holy crap what have we done?????????? then i found out that my mil was giving her husband crap one day for not closing the door. she was looking after the kids for us and my mil was standing ranting at her hubby "close the fkin' door!!!! you can't leave the door open, the kids are here!!! close the fkin thing!!!!!!!!" so then i thought...well maybe she just thinks a door is a FKIN' door...
so we don't give it too much attention. if she said it, we'd just say "no anika..open the door PLEASE!!!" lol....just try and correct it without giving attention to the F bomb she just let out!!
but then we realized that she was using it in other things. "i banged my fkin toe" "close the fkin' gate!!" ugh...
she said it at the neighbors house the other day, and the 8 year old girl was like SHOCKED and she asked "what did she say???" i just said "oh i don't know i didn't hear anything!!"
ha ha...
i'm hoping if we're EXTRA EXTRA careful from now on, it'll pass....lol... ↑ |
