When my daughter was about 6 months old we found that she had a bump on the back of her ear and the doctor said it was a cist and to leave it alone if it wasnt getting bigger and if it wasnt hurting her and it wasnt but a week ago the puppy scratched her ear and made the bump bleed so i cleaned it with peroxide and i looked at it today and its bigger and it looks bad and it hurts when you touch it so were taking her to the doctor tomorrow hopefully they can do something about it, so my question is does anyone know how they will fix it for her if they just drain it and if they have to give her a shot to numb it?

hello. They might just give her antibiotics first to heal it up if it's infected. poor girl, one of the nurses on here might help you better with that. If they remove it they will give her a shot, I don't know if they would put her to sleep for that or not. they might.

I would love to help you but I have no idea. Sorry : ((

I do know that if they drain it, they will probably give her something to numb the area first.

No it won't : )) She might put up a fuss but it will all be for show. Dr's are very good at making sure kids are in no pain. I guarantee it will hurt you way more than her.

Why don't you ask for something that will numb you as well LOL!

LOL...yah Mellisa, you might need a stiff drink before you go in to the doctors! Morgan had a planters wart removed from the bottom of her foot, and it DID HURT....I made hubby go back with her. I hate seeing kids in pain : (

She had a hole in the bottom of her foot, I couldn't believe it when I saw it, she couldn't even walk for a couple days on it!

yah they dug it out, not pleasant, but she was fine till the shot wore off, the shot wasn't too good either though, but on your ear like that they will probably give her meds for infection and watch it maybe, I can't see them removing it. probably after the coreness is gone it won't bother her again.

LOL Dana...running circles!

Yeah, I can't see them doing too much to it. My best guess would be antibiotics especially since it wasn't a problem until the pup scratched it.
