It might help if she could go without a diaper for a little while,(if that's possible). the more air that gets to it the better. There is also a powder called Caldesene,(kmart carries it in their pharmacy but you can get it without a prescription, you just have to ask for it) and that works better than baby powder at keeping the skin dry. ↑ |
I agree with lizzi, but keep on with the cream as well. ↑ |
This has been forever ago for me, but my son never once had diaper rash. Then my daughter came along and she is so sensitive, she had it several times. I do not remember the name of it, but I got a prescription cream from my doctor, you put a tiny bit on, and the rash was gone at next change. It may good info for you if you find it to be a problem that reoccurs or if the spots do not help well enough or quick enough. ↑ |
thanks!!! this is the first time she's ever gotten a rash, so i don't think her skin is super sensitive...i guess i'll just continue with the cream and baby powder to keep it dry, and change her diaper more often than usual...thanks again!! :-) ↑ |
don't use diaper wipes!!! Get her a nice warm washcloth.. May be gross, but the diaper wips are very rough on tender bottoms. Colin has a serious case of monkey butt right now himself. He cannot have ANYTHING orange, I mean flavor OR color... I got some of the juice popsicles, and his favorite is the orange.. I thought well how much orange could actually be in them... GEEEEEZZZZZZ His little bunghole is fire engine red and bleeding... He can't even eat cantaloupe with out getting a serious rash.... ↑ |
