Yup........they (the cable guys) have been offering digital phone service for a while here now. Thing is.......quite certain they started in Vancouver.........so it took them a while to get out here. Anyway....a few weeks ago i finally got a notice in the mail saying that we can get it out here now! Woop woop!!! GOOD BYE TELUS............oh i hate them!!!!!!!!!! Lousy service......monopoly on the phones here......charge what they freakin want blah blah.........so........now i get (as of March 13) all the extras call waiting call display call this call that stuff i dont even have a clue as to how you use it ........and...........1000 minutes no restrictions calling to all over the dang planet. Unlimited, no restriction calling inside Canada and over to the US..........
Its about time...................now.......i can chat with the girls........any dang time i WANT yeeeeeeeeehawwwww! ↓

I hate Telus too Maxie! I wish we could get digital where I live. We have satellite internet and TV because we live in the middle of nowhere LOL
Telus is still the only phone provider though and we pay $60 a month just for phone, an extras bundle and 4000 anytime, anywhere in canada and us long distance minutes. I hate them.

oooooh i know Randi...........its so good to know they finally have some competition!!!! This country is horrible for NOT enough.....airlines......or phone companies ya know?! Ridiculous ........so then your held hostage about fees or fares grrrrrr.
Too.........i cant WAIT.......for the cable guys or someONE.......to start a cellular phone service........other THAN TELUS!!!!!!!!! What dogs to charge what they do for something..........thats just totally FLOODED the market. BUT........even so......here in Canada....(I watched on the national news one night) so many Canadians DONT have cell phones BECAUSE............of the crappy charges that follow!!! Telus called me in December to renew my cell contract. I told them NO WAY! I had signed a 1 year with them the year before and was given a brand new phone. Well less than 2 months of having it it wouldn't let me call out sometimes or it would say "restricted use, emergency calls only" and it would lock up so I couldn't turn it off or on. It went to warranty (4-6 weeks each time) 3 times. That's over 3 months without a phone and I still had to pay my bill! They didn't even give me a replacement. They reset my phone and sent it back.
I told the lady all of that and that I was not interested in going through that again.
She called me back and offered me a $75 bill credit, free call display, voice mail, call waiting, 150 free long distance minutes each month and free evenings and weekends. I also only pay 1/2 of my bill for the next 6 months and have free email and web browsing. They gave me a free blackberry pearl LOL

| Oh, and about our airlines... I hate air canada but I LOVE West Jet!! We only fly with them. They are friendly, easy to travel with when you have young kids and their rates are cheaper than Air Canada. ↑ |

| We just went ALL digital at out house. No more satelite dish that goes out everytime the wind blows, and High speed internet and digital phone. The sound quality on the phone is good.... Free long distance rocks. No I don't have to worry about my cell phone minutes so much... ↑ |

| when hubby had to go to Tucson, he had to fly first from here to Vancouver on West Jet, and then Delta or something to Tucson...he said it was such a HUGE difference. West Jet was WAAAAAAYYYY nicer. nicer people, better service, comfortable leather seats....just better....lol ↑ |
