So Kingston is almost 4 months...for the past 2 weeks i have fed him thick rice cereal an he loves it..takes it like a champ..i was gonna wait till he was 4 mnths to feed him food but, i saw some others here that did it earlier..so i though i would try...So now i want to start him on peas..do you think it would be okay..he has had the rice cereal for 2 weeks now and swallows it really good. i know not to feed him anything else for awhile to see if he is allergic, but should i give em to him

I gave Kaden peas around that age. I just put them through a strainer and added a bit of water.

yeah i am only feeding him veggies at first..i made that mistake of giving my first son fruits first......now he hates veggies...

Kaden hates bananas! I don't know if it's the texture or what. I have tried really ripe and not as ripe and I have tried different consistancies... He LOVES pears though... I add a little cinnamon.

I was always told to not start with peas, cause they are such a strong flavor, that 99% percent of the time they won't like it....lol...also, those canned baby food jars of the peas are SO disgusting.....have you ever tried it yourself????? YUCK...nasty ass!! lol....i gave Anika just regular frozen peas and heated them up in water and then mashed them...first couple times she wasn't so crazy but she tolerated them....now she'll eat them.

But if you're starting with veggies first, my doctor suggested to start out with Sweet Potato or Squash or something a little sweeter, and ease em into it, and she said to never START with peas!! lol...that's what I was told anyways....you'll do what you wanna do!! :-) good luck

Everybody says something different lol. I started Dan really early because he was HUNGRY. His Dr. said no problem. Now Dr's say 4 mos...6 mos...and so on. It's a wonder how any of us lived to adulthood because you know OUR parents didn't have those rules way back when LOL!

Dan was bigger than that lol. he hit 20lbs. at his 4 month checkup lol. A couple months later we measured him and he was bigger around than he was long LOL!!! He thinned out nicely at around 5 yrs old.
