marijuana, when theres no one to talk to, talk to anyone ↑ |
Thats not a bad thing, they are too young. Its ridiculous. Just think, you only see them this age once....and they are stealing our kids away from us and putting them in school early.
I dont have a choice, my husband is educated to the hilt. Hes a harvard man, and of course, he wants her in school learning as soon as possible. ↑ |
im with your husband on that one, i reckon that kids are like sponges in the first 10years of life and they learn quickly, keeping them out of the ed system only prolongs the learning...each to their own. my oldest i always thought she should of been kept back and repeat Prep but they wouldnt allow it because my son started that year and they wouldnt allow siblings of different ages in the same year. she suffered up until last year. ↑ |
University is another thing altogether...my husband is a Melbourne University elitist where as i left school at 14.5 been in the work force since i turned 15 and i have met so many (hate to steal your word) morons with university degrees and no common sense, me i will take common sense over the degree any day!!! ↑ |
Im the same, but I cant get over the fact that my daughter will be away from me 5 days a week. At 4 years old? ↑ |
she obviously turns 5 in the first half. Keep her home and take her to 4yo Kindergarten that way she gets her start with ed and you get to have her home for most of the week ↑ |
Hmm yeah, you wanna tell my husband that? ↑ |
I had a very long discussion with someone about all this today ↑ |
Husband is stuck up pompus snob, that never thinks hes wrong. Other than that, hes a nice guy...lol ↑ |
Grade prep is a big playgroup same as kindergarten all they try to do is prepare them for socializing and working together as a team they do teach the basic abc's and 123's but they dont push it, the biggest advantage to going to Prep at the age they have is that your child could be a star and they will ascertain what level she is at and where she will be placed in the following year. To me that was important. Plus the fact that im not very maternal in wanting them to be at home and liked them going to school. I was actually looking forward to 2007 being the year that i return to the workforce full time, now i have to wait another year ↑ |
yeah mines like that too...not a snob but definitely an arrogant twit who thinks hes more intelligent then everyone else....except me ....lol ↑ |
She wants to go, we had the big tour of the school a few weeks ago, and we asked her if she liked the school and wanted to go, she said yeah. ↑ |
oh yeah they all say that until the day you drop them off and leave them there. ↑ |
One thing is, shes an only child. She doesnt like to share and is quite bossy. But she is an "organizer" . I think it might help her to learn to relate to other kids on an everyday basis.
She has plenty of friends, but its not like she sees them every day. ↑ |
Dont worry you will eventually get to walk away without the tears, either from your daughter or yourself ↑ |
There are classrooms around the world with alot of non sharers and bossy kids. They work it out either the teachers or the kids. Lots of only kids out here. ↑ |
I couldnt imagine it.....If I had 8, id be in a straight jacket ↑ |
the steps have now left the nest and are adults...24 and 21
mine are 2 daughters 4 sons..d17-s15.5-s8-s6-d5-s4 ↑ |
i have definitely had my days when they should of locked me up
especially when the younger ones were all babies. My friends always laugh when they come to visit, cause they remember me telling them that i never wanted kids...then i go and have a town ↑ |
You know what? If I could be guaranteed a girl, Id have another one. Im too scared of having a boy. And I dont want one. Call me a sexist pig, I dont care ↑ |
This is quite personal, but I dont really care, I had pnd with my daughter. I was a nutcase. ↑ |
