How can you be able to select traits that are learned?
Seriously, choosing if they're an optimist or a pessimist? That's retarded! How many pessimistic babies do you come across on a daily basis?
It usually takes some actual life experiences and several times of being screwed over or disappointed to become a pessimist.

I personally wouldn't go for it, I don't care how much money I have.

Shouldn't some things just be left to nature? ↑

I'm not sure. People should accept the child they get, rather than trying to hand pick them for particular traits. They aren't puppies. ↑
