Hi i am part of a toddler group that meets up once or tiwce a week.
They are seven of us and only 2 of us that rent our house's because we cant afford to buy.
Well some of the girls think that all people who dont own their home are of a lower class and i dont mean the class as in money i mean moraly what do you think? ↓

| I think that is ridiculous!! I rent my house too!! They are probably jealous because if anything breaks it's their responsibility to fix it!! I am a christian woman and I don't think I or anyone I know has loose morals for renting their home!! ↑ |

| I have 5 kids and pregant with 6th one.we don't own our house.it doesn't make a diffenerce if u rent or own if u ask me.some people pay just as much rent as a mortgage for their own home.it doesn't mean Lower class at all ↑ |

To lizze your family might be low income but you must have some money stashed away because it is not just the moragtge payments each month it is the depoist and the fees as well you have to have some saved.

| To Lynne n....... Nope! No money stashed away though (I wish!) We just live on a very tight budget and just make ends meet. We very rarely have anything (extra).But I get comfort in knowing that our home is ours and no one can take it away from us as long as we remain able to keep up the payments.I figure everyone has to live somewhere weather they buy or rent and I just decided if I'm going to be out so much money each month on a place to call home,then I'd rather buy than rent so at least one day I'll finally own it and will not have a payment other than the taxes later on.Besides from my experience,buying is cheaper than renting anyway. When you rent you are basically throwing money away on something you will never own not to mention making a landlord richer.But to each their own.Everyone's got their own reasons for renting/buying. ↑ |

I would find a new group of friends to hang out with. Really find another toddler group in your area. A friend doesnt care what you have or havent got they like you for you and your personality.
One more thing, its none of their business if you own or rent anyway. ↑ |

| To Lizze we rent with a housing assaction so the rent is really cheap and they also provide you new kitchen and bathrooms and they come round and do all your repairs as well!!!!!! ↑ |

As mention by several other people you should definately find a different toddler group.
QUESTION: If you have three people who all have the same income coming in and 1 owns their house and 2 rent who's low class? ANSWER: No one. They all have the same income.
There are people in this world who own homes because they can afford to own their home. And there are people in this world who own homes that they are literally living for their home. I have a friend who owns her house and she barely makes the house payment each month. ↑ |

| Alot of rent these days are mortgage payments. My sister lives in an appartment that cost her way more then my mortgage and my home equity loan put together. She can't afford it but likes to thinks she can. And my mom's rent is about the same as my mortgage payment. ↑ |

| we are actually trying to buy the house next door and our morgage payments will be cheaper than our rent payment , and the house next door is bigger and appraised at more than this one. i also know people who own there homes and thats all they own !!! cause they cant afford anything else and some who have there parents help them whatever the reason is it shouldnt matter . people rent for different reasons it doesnt make them lowre class . ↑ |

| No, what a dumb thing to think or say! We owned a home for 6 years and sold it a year and a half ago and are now renting again. We had to relocate for my hubby's school, and we do not feel any less for going from owning to renting, nor does anyone else we know think so! We will not be able to buy for another 2 years or so and we are just fine with that. People can be so snobby and down right rude sometimes! Do not let those type of people make you feel inadequate for something silly like not owning a home! ↑ |

Actually I am wondering what it is about these women that makes them feel so inferior. I assume the only reason they feel the need to put themselves above others, is because secretly they feel below them. Class has nothing to do with money. Some of the trashiest people I have ever met were wealthy. Class is how you carry yourself. If I were you I would walk in there with my head held high. Knock them dead with your confidence. Owning/Renting has nothing to do with morals. Finding something lacking in other people for the sole purpose of making your self out to be better than they are. That is low morals.

jow are you?.....first of all Find yourself a new group cause these ladies sound pretty pathetic if they are going to behave like that,
I think there is nothing wrong with renting, we do well not really the banks do lol, we are just paying it off BUT my Husband and I are now serioulsly thinking of selling so we can get out of debt and we will rent for a few years then maybe, only God knows get back in the market and rebuy, all of my friends that know this say its a great idea, atleast we may then be able to go on holidays and be better off, so Lynne dont worry about people who look down on you for renting, they are just jelous, it doesnt make them any better than you hun, :-) ↑ |
