Oh girls I dont know where to start....Life isnt easy for us right now...DH is out of work and we are broke...I dont even know how we will pay our bills...my mom is putting mnoey in our account to pay our bills...and put another 250.00 in for food and shoes for football for Michael...we are broke...applying for food stamps and medical care...skeet is still in the middle of recovery on his knee..and our health insurance ends this month...What in Gods name are we to do here in America..NO HEALTH COVERAGE...we are hard working middle aged and on the streets....Its me LAYNE always looked a certain way...pribleged (SP) we are now at the mercy of the hard workers the one"s I considered myself...Im so down...My heart is broken...and I dont know what to do anymore....How did it get to this..and in a instant we are nothing. ↓

| i am so sorry layne..that is the unfortunate thing about America..most people are 1 paycheck from being on the streets..same thing is happening to my parents right now..they went from 10,000 a month to now getting unemployment at 400 a week..i know things will get better..sometimes we have these moments and life wants us to show them we want it...hopefully you will qualify for aid..that will be something..any little thing helps ↑ |

sweet Lady Layne............humm i typed the dots....and dont know what to say really. BUT ya know me......give me a sec lol.
All these things that you have paid into over so many many years of work..........in whatever form they come........you TAKE!!!!!!!! YOU and Skeet paid into them a lifetime.....if its there for the taking........have it.
You do know.....that there will be people all around you...that will be praying for your family. I trust i might be counted as one of them to you. Without question.
Our hearts break for you too..........i know mine is. I have responded to some difficult things in this forum.........but i think this is one of the hardest i beleive i have answered.

| rain- we have gone to 2 attorneys and the 1st one was more workmans comp. and the second was a disabuility discrimination attorney and they are to busy to take on our case but they said we had a case and they gave us more names to call...we have 90 days to file...so we are still looking...Not a easy task whats so ever...now if it was a workmans comp case we would be doing something...tons of them ↑ |

| Been there. I am so sorry. One day I was an RN bringing in enough to support our whole family, the next my dh was in the hospital and I was scraping pennies to buy milk for the kids. I just wanted to lay down and die, but the kids needed me. Do you have a church you can go to? I was embarrassed to turn to them, but it is what saved our buts from being homeless. ↑ |

| It is the ONLY thing that worked for us Rain. I had a welfare worker even tell me "yes, I know this is not enough to live on anywhere here, but it is the maximum and there is nothing else we can do for you". Basically "yep, your screwed!!!". I am so so so so thankful that God put my priest and sister here for me, he had to have......that is the ONLY place that would help!! I called Salvation army and was told "we don't do that (help with back rent)" then they hung up on me!! I will never give to their little "bell ringers" again!! Anywhere else I called they just gave me 20 more numbers and sent me on a wild goose chase from hell!! Unless you know where to turn, there is NO way to get anywhere!! ↑ |

im sorry layne.. i know what you are going through.. were going through the same thing.. infact we have been for months.. cant even afford food this week.. im hoping mum will help us out in that area..
our electricity company keeps threating to cut us off too.

We have insurance on our 2nd mortgages...Thank God. that frees up about 200.00 a month we also have insurance on the other 160.00 loan payment that will defere as soon as the disability is filed and excepted...God the paperwork is enormous..Our house payment is under 400.00...we already know we will collect 343 a week unemployment...I make about 120.00 at dollar general...The problem is the insurance on DH because we are still under a doctors care...and Mike has expensive meds...They qualify for Hawki Im sure but he will have to change all the meds he is taking because that insurance doesnt except the meds he takes...That will be difficult...Its all this unknown that is so stressfu...will we get the help then the humiliation of it all...I know we deserve the help... we have payed all these years and it will be temporary... I hope...
Its all just so much to wrap my brain around..Thank God for you all...the support is so helpful...Rosey thankyou we all have hardship on here or could at any given minute...You are all so wonderful...and I really ♥ you all.. ↑ |
