If you do or when you did work....what did you talk about with your co-workers, AFTER work hours.

everytime my husband gets toogether with people that he works with, all they do, all fkin' night long is talk/bitch about work!!!!!

i remember when i worked at the restaurant, after work, we'd all go into the pub and have a beer together. and i don't remember talking with them about work. we might say something like "holy shit. what a busy day!!" and just leave it at that!!! i don't know. we all just seemed to not even want to THINK about work when we got off. it was like shitty fkin' day...don't wanna think about it...lets just drink!! lol....

is it a guy thing? or was our restaurant/my co-workers a rare thing? why would i want to talk about work, when i'm NOT working? lol...

Yeah, we bitched about our boss a lot. It's only natural cause there's lots you can't say in the office, that you're dying to say, and meeting up after work if the best opportunity to do so. But that wasn't all we talked about. lol.

Yah .....Bmes, I always talked about work as well. I didn't surround my whole night with work talk, but Yah..it was a big part of conversation. As Joeys_Man stated there are some things you cant discuss in the work place.

We had a terrible boss, who wouldn't even let us speak in the office about anything other than work so we bitched about him a lot.

maybe that's the difference then. we all got along and liked our boss. he was a friend.

also maybe another difference was that if people got pissed off in the kitchen you'd tell em right then and there. lol...there's no public to see or hear you, so we were all pretty open about things.

thanks. i was just getting baffled at how EVERYTIME we'd get together with people he worked with, it was all shop talk, and i'd sit there with my thumb up my ass!!!! lol...ok not really. but it would get REALLY boring. lol....

Maybe they do not know what else to talk about? you know because work is their common ground?
