Hello ladies
Its late here and im feeling in a playful mood (i havent had much sleep and i think im naturally speeding)
i was thinking about my work history and wondered if you ladies have had jobs and what were they?
i left school young and my first job was as a telephonist for a car company, since then i have done seasonal work picking all sorts of fruit and vegetables while backpacking around Australia, worked as a cleaner in a 5* hotel where i have met friends from all over the world and they now come and stay at my 0.5* house, worked on a cargo ship for 6 months to pay for passage overseas, Driver for a madam, was a public servant for the Attorney General, managed a Backpackers where i met hundreds of people some of whom i have stayed with in their home country, was a police matron and finally now bookkeeping from home.
Come on gals what jobs have you done, liked or wanted to do?

My first job was when I was fourteen. I worked in a corn field making pollenations. My next job was working at McDonalds while I was in high school. When I was in college I worked in a factory in the summer and made race car gauges. I also worked as a hospital admissions clerk when I was in college. I graduated from college and worked as a Medical Editor for a hospital. The last job I had before becoming a sahm was as a Marketing Assistant for an engineering firm.

My jobs were all in the same industry. Programmer in Russia, programmer in Canada, programmer in USA, mom in Canada. Just places were changing lol. Well, within "programmer" word there are many job doscriptions, but I won't bore you.

'morning, marija.

Yes, I LOVED Boston. Loved the old brownstone row houses, Back Bay, Cambridge, beacon Hill, the history of it all. And farther, Cape Cod with it's sand dunes.

E I would love to visit Boston. I think it would be the most interesting place to visit/ All that history.

That would be, esp. for you, Layne, since a lot of American state and politics were born there. It would be even more interesting if you read about the Boston / New England history before coming. The Kennedy clan has a very distinct footprint there.

I worked for a painting company and the newspaper (bundling papers, etc.) when I was about 13... then after I quit school I interned at a law office (at about 14 - the controlling partner happened to be in AA with me and gave me the job), then worked for another law office, and another, and another... the last time I worked was about 6 months ago. So basically the only job I've had from 14-18 was as a legal assistant. I got certified somewhere in there - and I'm actually excellent at my job ( I specialized in personal injury and criminal defense).... If I had any interest in working I'd make great money, but I'd rather just be Mommy.

I actually got a phone call from a female attorney that I worked with way back at the first law firm I ever worked at. She told me that she just had a baby boy a couple months ago and is going to be giving me all of his 0-3 month clothes because he was 10lbs. at birth and doesn't fit them. I'm excited because... well.. she's loaded, lol. They're probably all those fancy dancy $50 outfits you see in American Baby magazine. Probably the ONLY time I'll ever be able to get him anything like that in the next 18 years.

I had worked full time up until about two years ago. My main background is Hospitality. I was a hotel Manager for a corporate hotel in the Silicon Valley. I've also worked in various clerical positions. My last position before I left the work force was billing Manager for a home builder. I also received my ECE units for pre-school teaching, but only did it for a few weeks! I had a very bad experience my fist week and just could not hang. :( So now I get to work part time at my daughter's school, which I love.
