i am planning on going on a boat cruise down to the caribbean. Has anyone ever taken kids on a cruise? My kids are 15 and 16, so they don't want a family-oriented cruise, but I am afraid that maybe this will be too old-fogeyish for them.

See that they have their gameboysalong and you'll all have a wonderful time.
Be sure that you kiddos know that on an adult cruise dinner conversation and deportment are very important to getting along with your ship mates.

Hi- I just got home from a cruise with my kids (they are 5 and 9) but I did see that there was LOTS for teens to do on the ship. There was a teen disco everynight, clubs, etc. If your kids are out-going they will have a blast! Just make sure your ship has a Kids Club of somekind. They will love it and so will you.

DEAR ALLISON,

I JUST TOOK MY KIDS ON A CRUISE AUG. 14 - 18 ON CARNIVAL'S 4 DAY OUT OF LONG BEACH - CATALINA - ENSENADA. THEY DID THIS CRUISE LAST YEAR WITH MY MOM,SISTER, HER 2 KIDS, A COUSIN AND MY GRANDMA LAST YEAR, THEY HAD A BLAST. THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO, AND IF YOUR KIDS LIKE TO SWIM AND HAVE LOTS OF FUN, THIS IS THE WAY TO GO. SOME CRUISES OFFER A TEEN DISCO. MY KIDS WERE TOO YOUNG TO GO TO THE DISCO, BUT THEY ENJOYED THE SHOWS, THE LIDO DECK, UNLIMITED ICE CREAM, PIZZA, AND NO CHORES FOR A WEEK. HONEY, BOOK YOUR CRUISE AND SAIL AWAY. TRUST ME THEY WILL LOVE IT.
