Hi Kay! I wouldn't worry about telling them you're pregnant if they are not people you chat with much. I would just go about my own business until I started showing. But it is your situation and you know the people better than I do. I'm just wondering why you feel the need to tell them if you don't communicate with them very much. Anyway, good luck!! I'm not pregnant yet but I'm working on it and I was wondering how to break it to the people at my work- but actually I'm more worried about how to hide it from them as we all talk about everything all day- and when is the right time to tell people?? When did you tell your boss?? My worry is that my coworkers will find out earlier and it will leak to my boss. What does everyone else think??? ↑ |
I think it might hurt their feelings if I don't tell them and they hear it through the rumor mill. :) I am currently 17 weeks and I am starting to show. I might just send them all an e-mail so they all find out at the same time :)
I can understand once you are pregnant it can be hard to not let it slip. I told my boss at 16 weeks...I was planning on earlier but the good opportunity didn't present itself. I ended up scheduling a meeting with my boss and told him then..,it was very awkward to bring up, but he was very excited once I shared the news. The right time to tell people is when you feel it is. It is different for every person. I waited to tell at work incase I miscarried and I didn't really think that I wanted them to know that. I would definitely say that you should tell your boss first, because more than likely everyone will talk about it and they will find out. ↑ |
Don't worry, your growing belly will eventually tell the tale for you! ↑ |
