| My daughter has been taken the 5mg of Focalin XR the time relase pill for 2 1/2 weeks. I can tell a differance. How can you tell if its helping or not? ↑ |

| flamom, my 10 year old is taken the focalin time relase pill. she has not had any of the possible side effects which is good but she has only been taking it for 2 and half weeks. i cant tell if the medicane is working or not. school here just started back monday but when it come time for reading homework. i know it aint working. she is add. ↑ |

| My son is 6 yrs old and has been on focalin xr 10 mg for about 8 months. He does have lost appitite but makes up for it at dinner. During the day and at school it works really well other than him constantly bitting his nails until he has none! Recently i have noticed in the last month he has started getting home from school whinny and getting on to him now is heck!!! he is now angry all the time and temper....is wow! he has started hitting me and fighting with me all the time is anyone else haveing any similar problems like this? ↑ |

| i HAVE A SIX YEAR OLD. HE HAS BEEN ON FOCALIN XR FOR ABOUT 8 MONTHS NOW HE ONLY EATS BREAKFAST, THEN ABOUT 8 HE WANTS TO EAT AGAIN... HE HASNT LOST ANY WEIGHT. HE WEIGHS ONLY 40 LBS, BEFORE HIS MEDS AND AFTER HIS MEDS IT IS A RUFF TIME AND IF HE DOESNT HAVE HIS MEDS. HE IS BAD. BAD MOUTH AND NOT LISTENING AND MEAN TO HIS 2 YEAR OLD SISTER. I WISH THERE WAS ANOTHER DRUG THAT LASTED LONGER. CAUSE AT SIX ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE. HE NEVER HAD A REALLY HYPER PERSONALITY LIKE THAT NOT THAT STRONGE.. HE DOES DO THE SWITCHING WITH THE HANDS AT FIRST AND TALKATIVE AND GRADES ARE GREAT NOW. AND HE DOES DO ALOT BETTER AROUND EVERYBODY AND HELPS ALOT BUT AFTER SIX, YOU HAVE TO PUT HIM IN TIME OUT ALL THE TIME CAUSE HE DOES GET MEAN...DOES ANYONE FEEL LIKE THIS AND DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANYTHING ELSE. ↑ |

| i recently switched to focalin acouple three days ago i was on ritalin for awhile. I get the worst headaches from focalin has anyone else had these issues? ↑ |

| Hey im 16 , i have been taking Focalin for about a year and it helps me with concentrating in school and work but has a lot of side effects. It makes me jittery, nervous, it makes me extremely hungry anytime everyday. I couldnt deal with the side effects because i already have anxiety and Focalin was making it worse, so i went back to my doctor and he put me on Zoloft and he said that was ok that i take those medications together. The absolute worst thing about these medicines is that it is very hard to get off of because i got off of it for only 3 days and i got the worst anxiety attack of my life, so it is a very good medicine and works very good but you can just quit or get off cold turkey, you have to wean off of it slowly. so becareful whenever you wana get off of it and the side effects of getting off of it are hard to get through but you have to be calm and not styressed at all. Hope this is helpful because this just happend to me!!! ↑ |

| Flamom, I take it. I just started back up after two years off. I'm 17, 5'5"-5'7", and was about 123 pounds. I started taking it again about a week ago. I'm down to 117 pounds. I sometimes only eat once a day as it upsets my stomach. Hope this helps, goodluck and have a super day! ↑ |
