hi both my kids (5 and 7) have problems but now they have melotonin at night its not a drug its herbal our bodies make it but AS people don't make as much. its realy good ↑ |
We are the ones who are sleep deprived....My son goes through periods where night terrors awaken him at four and keep him up until six and other times just "don't wanna." My support system for him is non existant with his home care. I have occasionally in desperation fixed him a snack and juice, changed his pull-up, put on spongebob and lock him and myself in his room where I doze on and off. I don't know if this is good advice, but mommy needs her sanity too. Plus, because he is a runner, I need to be alert and vigilant the rest of the day. ↑ |
Hi we used melatonin for awhile when my 4yr old was younger but soon we found that he would fall asleep but only stay asleep afew hours (3-4) then be wide awake. yah thats a nice nap but not enough a night for me atleast. I know my son may not be the norm and it does work wonders for some and I would very much say try it. I just though I would share it doesn't work for all. To the woman who said she locked her self in the room with her son, may I say I feel you. I know me and my husband have done that more time than I can count. I felt alittle guilty too but I'm coming to find out alot of us cope in the same ways. Your not alone!? ↑ |
What type of Dr would say such a thing? Do you give her an epson salt bath before bed? Have you tried chewable melatonin?

"Melatonin" 3-6 mg it's a natural sleep aid. he won't take pills directly so I crush them & melt chocolate put the pills & choc. in a candy making try (found at stores that carry cake / candy making supplies
before he started taking this a few months ago I forgot what a night sleep was~lol ↑ |
