When my son was born he was in a lot of pain after his feeds. My health visitor suggested a product called Colief. I bought some and tried it and within 24 hours he was fine -no pain, crying, discomfort after feeds at all! I was really amazed. It's quite expensive £9.99 for a bottle, but it was well worth buying as it really helped both him and the rest of the family.

New babies often find it very difficult to digest the lactose in milk (breast and bottle) hence the pain, wind, discomfort following a feed. Colief is the lactase enzyme which when added to feeds partially digests the lactose in the milk. By the time the infants are about 3-4 months old they can produce enough of their own enzyme to cope with the lactose so you can stop the drops.

Have a look at Colief.com on the 'net for information. It can be used both with breastfeeding and bottle feeding and is great.
