hey girls. well i just had my baby boy 16 weeks ago.. && when i went for my 6 week post partum check my doctor decided to give me the mirena birth control that gets put inside of you that way you dont have to worry at all about getting pregnant again for 5 years unless you decide to take it out adventually to have another baby. wellll its been 10 weeks now since then && i still havent had my period ( im breastfeeding.. so that could be why? idk) but in the past week ive been having very bad stomach aches && even felt nauseaed in the morning and at night (such as right now) im prob. just worrying myself but i feel like i did when i first got pregnant w/ colby so i thought id get on here && see if any of you have or have known someone who was put on this birth control and got pregnant? they say its 99.9% effective. so im prob okay.. maybe getting sick or something? but its been a week and nothings changed. pluss the past 4 months ive had NO desire once so ever to wanting to sleep w/ my husband && the past couple days all of a sudden its like my hormones came back lol kinda like i was when i was pregnant. the thought didnt really even pop in my head till this morning when i woke up telling my husband i felt like i was going to throw up and he said " you better not be pregnant again.." i was like omg dont say that! please let me know though what you think.. thanks ladies (:

My initial thought is you maybe getting ready to start your period again. That first one is a doozy. Some women don't skip a beat, other's don't have it until the end of breastfeeding and a lot of in betweens as well. I am not certain because I am not fimiliar with the birth control but I wouldn't get too worried yet. Just hang on I am sure all is well. ↑

k thank you for replying.. i wasnt sure if anyone was going to (: but ya im not really worrying to much yet.. id looove to not start till after im done breastfeeding.. but if im feeling this way bc im about to start then id rather just bring it on now lol ive been feeling aweful! i bleed prettyyy heavy about a week after i got the birth control and i could've sworn it was my first period it lasted about a week and a half too which sucked. butt that was almost 3 months ago.. so it may have just been a side effect from putting the birth control in.. im not sure! ↑

I'm sorry I don't know anything about that type of birth control and I'm not currently on anything. But in regards to periods and nursing, for me, at 2 and a 1/2 months postpardum I had a lightish period for about a week. Then my periods didn't actually start until 9 months postpardum. That was in June and then I had another in July. Mamals right about the first being a doozy. I thought I was dying, lol. But the second wasn't quite as bad. Still worse than I was use to pre-pregnancy though. Good Luck! ↑
