Does anyone know if a child is safe in the care of someone who is legaly blind in one eye, their hand locks up and I believe has carpal tunnel, has asthma, but yet smokes like a chimney, has left bruises on a (my 10 yr old boy) by grabbing the childs face and, for some reason cannot see or visit their own children. (I am talking about my exes wife and my 3 children in her care).

If she does not have to pick them up ...since he is 10... that is not an issue niether is the face that she is blind in one eve...Since she can see out the other...NOt an issure

The real issue is her smoking and brusies. I would not want my kids with someone that smokes and leaves makes on them. She may not know she is hurting him due to the lack of hand controll.
Talk to you som about his visits with his Dad & wife. To get an idea of the life he has with them. Ask him how she treateds him.
Can you talk to your ex about the marks on his sons face & the smoking issue ...3rd cause of death in childern is second hand smoke.
Best of luck

I'd say the kids would be better off in more capable hands.
