Ya I remember this time 3 1/2 yrs ago with my son. :) Just seems like time went by so much slower with him. Time is flying by with this one. Thank God!!!

I'm also pretty excited but I have 11 weeks to go. Then I think about it and man, I am so not ready for this one! Anyway, grats Nicole - it'll be great to hold a little one again.

I have about 4-5 weeks left and I've got so much to do, lol. I haven't even put the crib together yet, with my first everything was done 2-3 months before my due date and this time I keep putting it off, lol.

lol Im the same way. Im anxious but yet I keep putting everything off. My mom in Kentucky has just about all the stuff Im gonna need for her so all I have to buy is a bassinet and a few clothes to get by until we travel up there to pick it all up. Need less to say I have the clothes and the car seat but no bassinet yet. :( Guess she'll be sleeping with us if she comes before then or my husband can make a mad dash to the store to pick one up.
Im so nervous to though. Because my son and I have our routine and Im sure it will be just a few weeks and we will have another one but Im so used to this one, I hope my son accepts everything ok. But Im thank ful to that she will sleep alot in the beginning so that way my son can gradually get used to her taking up his "mommy time."
My other concern is, and let me know if you think this is corny. But with my son it didnt feel weird to change his diapers but Im gonna feel weird at first with her diapers because its little girl parts. Thats her little private place. Ah its gonna be so creepy. My husband has already said it might be a few weeks before he can change one. Did that ever creep anyone else out?

Nicole how old is your son?

It won't be long until you find a new routine....I had a baby on Dec 1st and had 2 2 year old daughters....Yes babys arrival disrupted things a bit, but what I did was bought them dolls and during her first few weeks they loved these dolls and fed them when I fed sofia, had cuddles when I had to cuddle Sofia, and put them to sleep when sof was sleeping. That way they do not feel left out. I would have done the same even if I had boys and not girls.

Those 8 weeks will fly by....It seems like only 5 minutes ago I discovered i was pregnant...and now I have a 4 month old little bundle.

And no...changing her nappies never really freaked me out....I had 2 girls prior to this and it still didnt really bother me. As my twins haved aged (now 2 1/2) I dont like them being naked very much....but my almost 4 year old step brother being naked doesnt bother me....but i just feel they are my "little girls" and i dont want people looking at them! lol

My son is 3 1/2!
I am going to feel weird at first cause its going to be a new pee pee part. :) I am just going to feel like Im violating her little area lol. Corny yes but it just seems so personal. I can already tell Im going to be protective of my daughter. Where as with my son I let him run around for "naked time" Ah its going to be strange but I'm still gonna love. And I thank god everyday that he is going to bless me with the perfect family. :) Ah...its great.

Nicole, I agree with you wholeheartedly! I have a five year old son and a baby girl on the way. My husband and I have discussed the whole diaper thing too and he said that was all me this time around, lol. I have heard from friends that it can be wierd at first if your used to having a boy, but it goes away quickly and then its no big deal.

Ah so exciting! Dunno if it'd feel any different changing a girl than a boy. Last 10 weeks just flew in for me. Yay!

Im glad there are other women that agree with me on this. I thought I was just being strange. lol But I am really excited. And I look forward to all the changes.
Looks like there are alot of people on here that are due close to the same time. Interesting.

Nicola - I like your idea about the doll...I think I will buy Wyatt a "Baby" and he can feed it, change it etc when I do those things with our new one. Hope my hubby won't mind this too much...he can be a little on the manly side sometimes and might find it a bit odd that Wyatt has a doll. I'll ask him when he gets home in a bit.

I dont think my son would even be interested in a doll, he would just throw it to the side but I might get one just in case he does decide that he wants to help out with the new one :) Brillant idea!!
