If you bring your baby book to the hospital and have it out when they do the baby's footprints, most places will go ahead and put the footprint right into the book for you. So don't forget to bring yours in your hospital bag! I had mine with me but completely forgot to get it out for the footprints! This time I will put my mother-in-law in charge of it! ↓

So does the hospital do ink footprints for their records?
(I wonder if they do that in Australia?)

| Yeah - they do it as standard practice here in the states. You know what was funny was I kept forgetting that they had done it to Sophie, and every time I looked at her feet I thought they were all bruised. Then I would remember and be like doh! I've also seen people put the footprints on shirts, hats, blankets etc. ↑ |

| I got Sophie's book as a gift. It's okay - I wouldn't have picked it, but it does the job. I got Zoe's at a store called Papyrus. I love hers - it's very different from others that I've seen. And I've been neurotic about keeping Sophie's current. I felt great after her delivery and spent the first day or so writing in her book while she slept between feedings. I just hope I haven't set the bar too high and that Zoe ends up getting a lot less! ↑ |

| I've been so good at doing stuff for Sophie. This child has travelled more than most adults, she's got lots of friends and I do the blog and her baby book plus a first year scrapbook, I take her picture every month with Pooh Bear, and now...I just hope I can keep it up for Zoe! And we plan to have 4 kids! ↑ |

| It's so much fun to go back and look at them. At first, Pooh bear was so much bigger than her and she just had this blank look in her eyes. Then around 3 months or so she started to look like the light had come on! Now she's way bigger than Pooh and she barely sits still long enough for me to take the picture! I think after her 12 month pic I'll do them every 6 months months until she's old enough to whine and complain about it! ↑ |

You definitely should Nikki, cause you really can't tell just how small they are unless there's something to compare them too. I remember when my in-laws came to visit they wanted to see the famous pooh bear. My mil said OMG - I thought pooh was much bigger! It just showed how tiny a newborn is:)
And I hate Babies R us - not their products, but the people that work their are complete idiots! At least here where I live - no offense if anyone on here has worked at one. ↑ |
