when my bf and i were tossing around names we came up with Sarah, Evelyn, and Amber. We wanted a name that wasn't too common but wasn't weird. Sarah and Evelyn were old fashioned and aren't all that common nowadays compared to Britney's and Haley's. And we liked Amber because we're big 311 fans and one of their songs is called Amber. We ended up choosing Evelyn and her middle name is going to be Renae. Renae is my little sister's middle name and I always thought it was pretty and unique.
For name suggestions, research your family tree. You're destined to stumble upon some names that aren't so common anymore and your daughter will be somewhat named after a member of your family.
