I am about 5 or 6 wks pregnant with my first child. My husband and I are thrilled, but I cant stop worrying about the possibility of a miscarriage. I really have no reason for this. We are both 25 and healthy and I have had no problems thus far. I just can't stop thinking about the possibility espeacially in the first three months. I dont know how I can stop this . The next few months are going to be impossible. Any Advice? Help!!!

Hi Maria first of all congrats on being pregnant. I understand your stress and thoughts of miscarriage. Just try and relax and focus on taking care of yourself and your baby. Is this your first pregnancy?

what advice do you want? all we can say is stop worrying..lol...the first trimester is a high risk so alot of people feel that way but why are you holding on to it? did you have one before?

Hey, I"m pregnant with my second now and even I"m still worrying. I think it's normal to worry regardless of risk or first pregnancy or any of that stuff. Just try to remember that even though your first trimester is when you are more likely to have a miscarriage, the majority of pregnancies simply result in a healthy happy baby. You have a lot to look forward to, try not to consume yourself with worry.

Maria dear---I have had two in my lifetime and the last one was only 2 WEEKS BEFORE I GOT PREGNANT with this one! talk about stress out!!! Well, really the only thing to do is take it ONE DAY AT A TIME! That is all you can really do dear. I know it is hard (been there) but if you take it one day a t a time, it will be hard at first and then the next thing you know you will be in the double digits pregnant and find that you still worry about it. I find myself getting close to Dr appts and really wanting to SEE the baby in there because there are always those situations that you hear about and you start thinking about them---well, what if? You just have to try and keep an open mind and embrace what god throws your way!
Good luck.... always here for you.. [email protected]

Yeah Maria, we know it's hard to just sit there and wait for the first trimester, but it will definately help you if you think positively. Your body acts in a negative way to stress, so try and calm down Maria, if the time is right for you everything will be fine.
