Wow! Has anyone heard about the things happening at Virginia Tech University!? I live like an hour and a half away from there. There were two shootings, one early in the morning and one at around 10 or something. They are saying that TWENTY TWO (22) people are DEAD, and another 28 people are injured from gunshot wounds. They're saying it's the biggest school shooting in American history! Can you guys believe this? ↓

| I remember all of the William Morva stuff that happened last August too. It was on National news. I wonder how far this news has gotten. It's gotten to me in North Carolina. Virginia Tech is going to have a bad reputation after this. ↑ |

| I dont know, from that I am hearing they are still looking for another shooter. I guess there is more news information here since it's closer to me. They say the original shooter is dead, one person was arrested (theyre not saying whether that person is the original shooter who is now dead), and then they're looking for another shooter - and they arent saying if they think there IS one, just as a precaution I think ↑ |

| They arent releasing names. It's in Blacksburg, Virginia. The numbers are up to 31 dead, 29 injured, plus the shooter to make 61 total. They're saying some people werent injured from gunshots, they were injured from JUMPING OUT OF THE CLASSROOM WINDOW to get away from the shots. ↑ |

| Well I hope that if he goes to Virginia Tech, he is okay. The building that it happened in was an engineering building (mostly engineering classes taught in it). So if he studies engineering you may want to make sure he wasnt involved! I hope all is well. ↑ |

| If any of you believe in the power of prayer, I hope thatyou guys will join me in not only praying for the family and friends of the victims, but for the nation as a whole. As I'm sure you all know, this is the largest mass gunfire killing in US history. Recently becoming a mother, I couldn't imagine the pain and anxiety that is ripping through families today. You send your children to college at most worrying about them partying too much, and then to lose your child in such a sensless tragedy. I don't why this is affecting me so much. I'm from texas and I don't have family or friend in VA, but I surely am going to hold my daughter a little closer...I just look in her big blue eyes and think that we have no idea what the future holds for our children. IYou just have to think that some women 18 years ago was holding her little baby and now her little baby is grown and was killed in such a pointless thing...sorry guys I'm just way emotional today ↑ |

| Very sad...I just don't get the senseless violence these days. When did shooting people become the way to solve problems? I feel like when I hear about school shootings now it almost doesn't shock me. Kind of like hearing about a car-jacking or something, you just get desensitized to it all. We had a deadly shooting at the University of Arizona when I was a student there and it was freakin scary, but that was about 5 years ago. It seems to have gotten worse since then. ↑ |

Well, I read in this morning's paper that the guy was Asian American.
Started in the dorms where he shot his girlfriend and her lover...and then proceeded to the school with ammo pinned all over his top.
He just shot and shot and shot.

i just read an article and it said nothing about him having a girlfriend, it said that he was a loner.
and he killed every one with a Glock 9mm and for those of you who don't know, 9mm arnt that powerful, and they only hold like 6 rounds, so he had to reload that thing a million times to kill 32 people and injure 28 and kill him self! ↑ |

| you can get shot in the head with one of those and still be ok, glocks are stronger than regular 9mm but still thats alot of rounds, i wonder how many went off in total, im sure they will come up with a count! ↑ |

| I own a 9mm and it's quite a powerfulgun...it all depends on your ammunition and it holds 16 rounds...it's also a semi-automatic weapon...many police officers carry 9mm ↑ |
