Joey sleeps in a moses basket beside my bed, and I intend to allow him to share our bedroom until he is 6 months old, when he will be moved to his nursery to sleep.

Just curious as to how other moms do it. Do your babies sleep in your bedroom with you? If so, do they sleep in your bed with you? Or in a moses basket/crib beside your bed? And how long did you allow them to sleep in your bedroom with you for?

Tyler sleeps in his bassinet in our room, but he also sleeps with me, and very soon he will be moving to his crib to sleep, which is in his room

Kendra slept in our room until she was 6mo and then I moved her to her crib in her own room. I was met with much resistance, but from her dad not from her LOL. She made the transition just fine. She sometimes slept with us in bed with sone of those wedge things that prevent us form rolling on her (but we are both light sleepers anyway) after a couple of weeks we moved her tot her back and play next to our bed, but she still slept with us from time to time.

Kaden slept in a bassinet in our room till about 5 months--then we moved him to his crib in his room. I will not allow him to sleep with us now---I was getting in the bad habit of bringing him to bed with us around 5am when he woke up, but I didn't have to get up till 6am--but he kept expecting it and waking up earlier and earlier to "join us". So I had to stop that, it took a few days of him crying in the wee morning hours, but he sleeps great again in his bed.

Brooke slept in her bassinet in my room up until now, she is 4 months. Now she sleeps in her crib most of the night which is in her room. A part of the night she sleeps with me in my bed. It is just easier for me to feed her and bring her back to bed with me at 3 am, If I bring her back to bed with me she goes to sleep immediately!

Mia sleeps in her cot beside my bed.

I intended on having her in her own one from day one...but when I got her home I was too paranoid she'd stop breathing in the night and was constantly up and down to check she was ok.

I want to change her into her own room soon but probably around three months.

Gabbie sleeps in our bed. She started off in a bassinet, but I would bring her into bed to feed once she was a few months and she got so use to it. And so did we, I guess. We put the crib in our room and tried to ease her into it, but she hated it. She's 12 months now and co-sleeping works best for my family.

I don't know how you ladies do that---I can't stand to have my kids sleep with me, I don't get a wink of sleep! :) It took me forever to get use to sleeping with my hubby---we had to buy a king size bed just so I could get some sleep. lol. just a weird quirk about me I guess.....

What about sex? If you have your baby/children in the bed with you every night ... doesn't that impact negatively on your sex life with your man?

Good point--plus that is our time at night, when the kids are in bed, to talk about the day or stuff we can't really discuss with kiddos around... :)

I had to turn off the baby moniters because her room is right next to ours so I can hear her just fine and she makes lots of noise in the night moving about and "talking" in her sleep. She kept waking me up. I still hear her, but now it is only when she is a bit louder. I had to tell the boys not to even go in her room unless she is crying for more then 10 seconds, because she will make one little peep at 6am and they will go gt her out of bed then she's awake for sure most of the time she wil wake up roll around make so noise and then go back to sleep.

We were all making the mistake of rinning to her every sound and we were really messing up her sleep

I personally haven't had sex since April, that's right it has been 7 months. But then again I'm single

Oh, don't worry. Hubby and I stil have sex often enough. Just never in the bedroom! lol We usually do it in the living room, though sometimes the kitchen, hallway or bathroom. My sex life doesn't suffer from sleep sharing at all. My husband never liked doing it after we'd gone to be anyway. He'd always be exhausted when when his head hit the pillow. Now we just do it right after she's goes to sleep. We put our mattress and boxspring right on the floor, so it's low enough that if she wakes up, she just crawls right out. I don't know what will happen when she's older and we don't want her to catch us in the nude mind you. We'll cross that bridge when it comes. Hopefully she'll be in her own toddler bed by then.

We love cuddling her through the night, and I don't think you can spoil them too much at this age. They're only small for so long and grow up way too fast. We're just enjoying her snuggles while she still wants to give them!

I haven't had sex since May, due to a cervical erosion during pregnancy, and I am engaged. Grr!

Christian sleeps in a basinette in our bedroom, But I think we are going to start putting him to sleep in his crib in his nursery soon he's getting a little big for a basinette now. I like to have him in the room with me though because I am just so tired all the time!

Christian use to sleep in his bassinet in my room (he doesn't have a room of his own). But he's outgrown his bassinet, so now he's in bed with me until we get a pack-n-play or set up his crib.

He four month and JUST started sleeping through the night. He's in bed at 8:00pm and wakes up around 4AM------I don't know about you be i call that sleepling through the night, lol.

Before he use to wake up 3-4 times a night. If not for a bottle, just because he felt like it.

Also, he's only on formula. I always got "give him some cereal and he'll sleep through the night", Briseis don't believe that PLEASE!
