| I am actually going to go a step further. If you take a test a five day HPT before you are actually due for your period there is a possibility that you could get a false negative. Should you get a negative on the test but still do not get your period on your expected date, take another. Sometimes as early as 5 day is too soon for HCG to be detected in your urine this is why doctors actually recommend you waiting at least a week to 2 weeks before coming in for a test. However, if you get a positive right away a doctor will automatic give you another test since HCG has been detected. ↑ |
