hi. my name is heather and i do not believe i have any serious eating disorders. But for the last 2 years i have been purging after i eat, but only when i feel sick. Its not everyday, but when my stomach hurts and i purge, it all feels better. I found out that i am pregnant and i know this isnt healthy but how do i stop when afterwards i feel soo much better?

Hey Heather. I am pregnant too. I have had eating issues since I was 9. I don't know why. Recently I lost 20 lbs and got down to 121, I am 5'10"... I am freaked out over this pregnancy thing, but I am not willing to starve and hurt my baby becaus Ihate the way I look. I am a big eater as well, I stuff my face, half the time I do it unconciously...like standing at the kitchen sink just stuffing my face of bread or something. Nut now, things are different, I drink a ton of water, I exercise, and I eat very healthy. DO IT FOR YOUR BABY!!! Jus think of that when you want to hurt yourself with food. I hope this helps u!

Hi Heather! I think it is time to think about the baby you are carrying. That little person needs all the nurishment he/she can get. I have had 3 children, 5 yrs, 3 yrs, and an 18 month old. Yes - I am trying to lose the post pregnancy weight. I have lost 20 lbs. Who cares about looking like models in books - they starve themselves. Your baby will be healthy and will love you for who you are. I also work with individuals who are not so lucky to be healthy, they live with mental disabilities. If we moms can do everything in our power to ensure our babies are healthy we should. You are a strong person and you can do it, do it for that baby he/she will thank you later.

when you feel like throwing up, maybe think about why you want to and how your feeling when your thinking of purging. Is something stressful going on in your life (other then the pregnancy), are you feeling anxious, bored, guiltly, angry or even happy? Getting in touch with your feelings might be helpful, maybe keep a journal to keep track of emotions/thoughts and see if there are any patterns. Then at least you know what your dealing with. It's hard to stop purging or stop any type of eating disorder period. But I think if you try to take small steps, you'll do just fine. Reach out to people and get the support you need, for you and your baby.

Hey,
My name is Hailee, 16 years old, pregnant of twins, and have an eating disorder. I saw some reply's where i think okay, this is not someone who knows how it feels to have an eating disorder. Heather I can only advice you to see a dr or therapist. It may not look serious but it is. This is a time you shouldn't worry about this. I know you lose controll and so do i, but i have so many people supporting me with ed's that i stopped my behaviors, give it a change. This is a time to enjoy, talk to someone a therapist its not weird this is for the sake of your unborn. If your healhty your baby is. Believe its hard, but you'll pull it threw.

Love, Hailee.

just think, eat healthy and try not to throw up- think of the baby and how you would never forgive yourself if there you implications cus of YOUR behaviour.

Just chill while your pregnant and after you give birth then if you are uncomfotable with your body exercise there's surely plenty of ladies who are losing weight after birth you could join a club!

Just have in mind that whatever weight you gain during pregnancy you can burn off after you have given birth to your cute baby!

gud luck

lucie
