Dear Terri,

Can you please stick to the same user name. Instead of switching all the time to make it look like their are people agreeing with you.

Also, we are on the "Baby Crowd" web site, yes. But we are in the PET section. We are discussing PETS. No one is off topic here.

Also, I have every right to be here stating my views.
Your not the Baby Crowd web site police, so stop trying to heavy hand people that dont agree with you.
To tell you the truth, It doesnt surprise me, your breed of choice is a pitbull. Your a bully.

I am agreeing with Terri and I am not Terri. I do see the post about you down below and see that you are sure pissing a lot of people off on here. Just because no one is agreeing with you...

I'm agreeing with Hiddy. Everyone is entitled to their opinions even if they do piss people off. I piss people off all the time on here!

Well then why is everyone else getting slammed by hiddy for stating their opinions?

It's not about slamming people - if somebody feels strongly about something then they're going to push their opinion, that's just human nature. A good argument is healthy sometimes.

If we all had the same opinions then the world would be a very boring place.

The pet forum is usually very quiet and dull. It makes a change to have a good debate about something.

Im not "slamming" anyone.

Terri attacked me and told me that I should be "looking after my child instead of posting on this web site" among other things she said.

I merely said that she was trying to heavy hand me and I wasnt surprised that she owned a pitbull, being the bully that she is.

Anyway, back to the subject at hand. Did you hear about the news report of a lady who had a 4 year old pitfull. She had the dog from a puppy and now had a 18 month old son.

She was sitting on her bed talking on the phone and her child was playing down at her feet. The dog was about 4 metres away from the child when, without warning and for no reason, the dog jumped up and attacked the child. They could not get the pitbulls jaws from around the childs head and had to use a steel rod and slide it through the dogs mouth, through its back teeth and pry them open. The child ended up having to have 30 stitches.

She stated that the dog had NEVER shown any signs of aggression before, she also stated that she would never own another pitbull again, and urged anyone that had a pitbull living around children should get rid of their dog.

She also stated that the dog was a big baby and she thought that the dog was the most placid animal she had ever owned, she never left the child alone with the dog.

The trouble with some dogs is that they're pack animals - the dogs family is their pack - their owner and other family members are all above the dog in terms of pack dynamics. The dog knows its' place and is happy with that.

Children come along and to the dog - they're beneath them in the pecking order - they're also potential prey - babies are small, vulnerable and smell tasty. What else can I say? That situation is asking for it.

A couple of rottweilers recently killed a 4 month old baby here in the UK - the baby was obviously viewed as prey as it was too young to be teasing or tormenting the dogs.

All dogs descend from wolves who are very effective hunters. Some dogs have more inbuilt aggression than others, but they all share the same basic characteristics.

Dogs hunt like fish swim. Some dogs come across as being loyal, cute, friendly, but they're only relating to you in terms of being part of your 'pack'.

Instinct is stronger than socialisation - even police dogs and sniffer dogs are simply using their inherited canine characteristics to aid man.

Dear Terri,

Temper Temper! No reason to get your tits in a tangle!

We are just debating here. If your not also posting under "Adopt a dog" I appologize! It just sounded like the same sort of garbage like you go on with.

Kind Regards
Hiddy
