Hey im having my first scan on the twelth of january so ill be just over three months pregnant. Will i be able to find out if its a boy or a girl yet? ↓

| right you have 3 scans well 2 if they think the baby is growing fine i had 6 scan, one to see if i was having an eptopic that was at 5 weeks then another at 7 weeks then another at 12 weeks then another at 16 weeks then another at 20 weeks then a 35 weeks scan the only one they will tell you at is 20 weeks, just wait till then ↑ |

20 weeks is the mark that usually 99% of woman can tell the sex.
Before that date it can be inacurate. ↑ |

| Im just really scared theres gonna be something wrong when i go or i know it sounds stupid when ive had 3 pregnancy tests n they all came out positive but if they like said to me sorry theres been a mistake ur not pregnant lol i jus love my baby so much already i jus want everything to be perfect ↑ |

I had a scan at 8 weeks, because i just come from overseas and wanted to make sure the long travel didnt cause any harm on my baby
Then the routine one at 12 weeks to check for any abnormailties
Another one at 18 weeks for its check up, i didnt get the see the sex
So i booked myself in for a 20 weeks scan to see the sex.
And i had my final one at 30 weeks to see if my low lying placenta had moved into a safe posistion.
But it is recommended not to be having so many scans, it does put undue stress on babies, and there isnt concrete medical evidence to suggest that it will or wont do harm to the growing featos. So dont be requesting them left right and centre like some mums do, have them when the doctor tells you to, or if you feel something is wrong

Yes everything should be fine. As long as you are looking after yourself, drinking enough water, eating right...doing little bits and peices of exercise.
Do you have any history of problems in your family? genentic disorders i mean? ↑ |
