hi there im 19 years old and just found out im preg... im not sure when i should go to the doctors to confirm it all.... does it matter when? Or should I go straight away... or wait! I'm confused and need Help!!! Some-one help plz....... ↓

| Meagan, if you think you might be pregnant, you need to go to the store and buy a at home pregnancy test. If it's postive, make an appointment to see your dr. That was you can have prenatal care from the beginning, and have a healthy baby. ↑ |

| I had my first ultrasound when I first when to the dr. I was 6 weeks pregnant, and they wanted to do an internal ultrasound to confirm how far along I was. On the screen there was a little burry blob, and you could see the heart beating, or should I say fluttering. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I had another ultrasound at 13weeks, 20 weeks...and then at 36 weeks. ↑ |

| First off Congrats Meagan. In australia usually you dont have a first ultrasound until you are 12 weeks. I asked for a ultrasound straight away, as i just got off a 25 hour flight from america and i wanted to make sure there was no damage. So that first scan of mine was 7 weeks, i was susprised to see the little flutter of a heartbeat..it was the most beautiful thing you will see. I also had my routine Ultrasound at 12 weeks to check for any abnormalities. One at 18 weeks when i started seeing the Hospital staff for my check ups, then again at 20 weeks as per my request to find out the sex. I am now 28 weeks...and ive been booked in at 30 weeks to check the posistion of the placenta as it was a little low in one of my scans. And that will be my final ultrasound until he is born unless there are any complications. Enjoy all of this and remember to keep pictures and the scans! ohhh and take a video tape! in most places they can record it :) ↑ |
