I wanted to let people know that there is a condition called segawas dystonia or dopa resopnsive dystonia that mimics cerebral palsy. Children with dopa responsive dystonia function at higher levels after sleep and have a few other distinct signs recognizable to doctors who know what drd is, but because it is rare and many of its symptoms are the same as cp symptoms it can easily be misdiagnosed. Unlike cp drd can be treated with medication. After learning about this condition i wondered how many kids are going undiagnosed, and wanted to spread the word.

Thank you so much for the info!

I know how much some thing like this could possibly help another parent who is looking for clues as to what their child could have.

I went out of my mind for about 6-7 years trying to diagnose my daughter.

Again thank you!
