My husband and I both are alocholics. I'm sober, but I don't tell him that he can't drink (for anyone who is an alcoholic or drug addict, you'd know that it wouldn't work anyhow). I do have guidlines for any problems that it causes - and don't take drinking as an excuse for anything. The thing is, last night he came home with a 6-pack, and drank one and then went to take a shower. I asked how many he'd had. Of course, he says one. Then i'm putting away the towels today and found an empty 40 under the sink (for any non-drinkers, that's a huge, usually very very potent beer). What the hell is that about? I'm not sure what pisses me off more, the lack of dignity on his part that he'd lie about drinking in his own home (when i dont even care) or the fact that he was stupid enough to hide the empty from me IN THE FREAKING TOWEL CABINET WHERE I PUT LAUNDRY!!! He had been sober for a month - and that six pack is still in the fridge almost untouched. so the drinking isn't a problem - just the nerve of him!
