i absolutely would. i do live in the us.
i really wanted to join the peace corp after college but then life started happening and it hasn't worked that way. i am fascinated by that part of the world. a woman i used to care for in a nursing home was my inspiration. she was in her late 80s and spent about 40 years in africa as a missionary and she helped start an all girls school (LONG before Oprah... lol). amazing woman ↑ |

Well, Orlando had the weather, and the other parks like seaworld and animal kingdom...we stayed in the animal kingdom lodge...that was amazing. and the first time we went we stayed on international drive...theres loadsa touristy things do to there too. erm....paris though, it's less rundown...not saying disneyworld is run down...but the rides are newer in paris.
We went to paris once at xmas...that was nice. SO quiet....and the xmas parade with santa and the mooses/meece/reindeers.

| emma2--Africa is a very dangerous place. People will lay in the middle of the road, posing as if they are hurt, so that the next car the drives by will stop to help them. Then when the person gets out to help they are hurt or killed and robbed. Many people live in neighborhoods surrounded with high security fences of wire to protect their families. Lets not forget sudan and rowanda. Killing is normal there. ↑ |

| I was going to ethiopia m, but my mum kicked up a HUGE fuss as some volunteers were abducted there. I was going as part of counteer group of 16-19 year olds to help in an orphanage with babies and toddlers. Its sad really. I would have LOVED to do something like that....really would have. But i completely understand my mums reasons. And thinking back, it would have been selfish of me to go when the kids are so young. And alot has changed since i was planning on going, ↑ |
