Hello my name is Jasmin. I'm a first time mom to my 17 day old daughter. About a couple days ago my fiancee and I noticed our daughters breasts are a bit swollen (feel like a lump). Is that normal? They don't hurt her when we touch them though.

Yea i think i was told it was something to do with the hormones you pass on to your daughter while you where pregnant..along with breastfeeding.

There are other things like..lavender oil..that apparently swells up the breats ..ive heard or read it somewhere.

If you do start to worry just take her to the dr :)

sounds normal to me, my daughters little breasts were swollen too from my hormones during preg and bf. it's a lot better now, and she's 23 weeks old. I hear it can happen to baby boys too

Yep, my little girl had that in her right one. The doc said it had to do with the hormones that passed from me to her at birth. It never bothered her. Should be okay =)

Yep...hormones, I think most babies have lumps, just not all parents find them.
