Cobbler

This is the easiest quickest cobbler recipe in the world. I always buy different pie fillings when I am in the store. Because you normally always have the other ingredients, then when we have company drop by, or I want to give my husband a treat, I make a quick batch. It is easy to remember because it is all (1)

1 stick of butter
1 cup of self rising flour (NO, regular flour will not work.)
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of milk
1 or 2 cans of pie filling, peach, strawberry, blueberry, apple (when using apple add more sugar and add cinnamon. What ever you like.

Melt butter in bottom of med size glass casserole dish. I use microwave.
Pour in fruit.
Mix other ingredients, and pour over fruit.
Bake 350 until brown.
Serve hot with ice cream over top.

The cream of chicken with the cheese gives it a little more zing

By the way this is a good place to ask this question. Did you know that some women will alter a recipe when they give it to you, so yours is not as good as theirs? I did not know anyone did this. I am not the best cook in the world, so I thought I made some things wrong. Last year I tried and tried to make something I had had at someone’s house, it wouldn’t come out right. My husband came in and laughed, he said hunny, You got that recipe from my aunt, and they always leave something out, or change it, so yours wont taste as good as theirs. WHAT! GRRRRR !!That is sooo mean. Who would do such a thing? Just wondering, as I never knew this happened.

Name: Layne | Date: Jul 25th, 2006 4:17 PM
No but that is so wasteful. I guess Im just a honest person. for petes sake cant they just say no.

Name: Lizzi | Date: Jul 25th, 2006 5:03 PM
Rain, that is mean! They just don't want you to out-do them. What you should do is come up with your own very good dish and when someone asks you for the recipe just say,"I'll never tell!" and make it for every get together,it will drive them nuts because it's sooo good but your not giving up the secret!

I agree rain....do it.

Rain-

I actually make something similar to pin wheels and yeah they do go like nuts.

Instead of using onions or green olives-pimentos I actually use pickles. My husband also likes it when I use shredded cheese.

Pickle Pops

Save pickle juice when all your pickles are eaten.
Pour into ice cube trays
Cover with foil, or plastic wrap.
Insert tooth picks

Kids love these. They sold them at football games to raise money for the team.
Fun for little kid parties. Mine still love them. They were big in JR. High also.

This is Charla's recipe, I just thought it needed to be pasted over here.

serina, i sure can!!
chimichaungas

you will need: hamburger meat (amount according to number of people)
taco seasoning 1 package
refried beans(also amount according to how many people)
rotelle 1 karge can
shredded cheese i ailways buy large bag my boys love cheese
1 or 2 packages of large tortillas make sure they are large
cooking oil
cook the meat until done drain grease if nessasary add seasoning mix, rotelle, and refried beans.mix it all in good you might have to exchange meat in a large bowl depending on size that you are cooking it as it will be alot after you mix.
totillas you might need to heat up the package before use depending on how flexable they are the fresher the better.
take a large spoon and put 1 spoonful of meat mix on one end of tortilla ok this is the tricky part for me to explain but i will try: take and fold up the part that has the meat on it fold it towards the middle, then fols each side also into the middle, and then the big empty part at the top fold over all of the foldings this will secure it to be fried which is the next step
get your oil good and hot and put those babies in one at a time give them about 3 minutes on each side to get good and browned when you have fried all of them and yes your house will stink to high hwaven, then place them in the oven with the cheese on top for about 30 min on 350 then they are ready. hope you enjoy them as much as i do

guacamollie(sp)

alvacados not firm but not squishy,i usually buy 6 to 8
sour cream you can definatly use low fat or fat free
salsa any brand that you like altuogh the chunkier the better for me any way
cut and mash all alvacados in a bowl then add 1 or 2 tablespoons of sourcream less is better then add 2 tablespoons of salsa may need a little more you can check that buy tasting mix all together and there you have it very easy and very tasty!!!! you may need or want to add some salt but thats up to you enjoy!!!

also on the amount of meat i will give you an example so you can at least go by that i use 3 pounds that will make the full 2 packages of tortillsa i at that point would buy 2 cans of refried beans and rotelle and seasoning that when you double the recipe which i always do all the niebors get to have some and stephen takes some to work ( well not all the nieghbors 2 or 3 of them)
