Here in B.C Canada, we can go on an equal payment plan where they average out the year and you get the same monthly bill every month......I keep thinking of doing this but never do....,. ↑ |

| i would check to see if you have a leak of some kind...last july, our power bill was 300 dollars also..and i flipped out...it runs less than 150 a month...sure enough we had a leak..after we fixed it they took off 150 of it (after i had made such a big fuss with them b/c it was where the lady that comes to check it could see it and she didn't bother to tell us). but this month mine's right at 200 which is strange for us...i have a dishwasher, washer and dryer...and like i said before it never runs over 150...although we've had a harsh winter...and we have electric heat..so that might explain it...i dunno though. ↑ |

| ohhh yeah there are plenty of spots! we actually have a whole in the hallway where the dryer goes! but we have covered all of the windows with plastic and covered the hole in the floor. just don't understand the hole in the floor lol stupid people hehehe ↑ |

do you have a landlord tenants act?
here you can go to arburation (sp) if your landlord does not fix things and can actually be grated funds for this, eg....funds for the outrages electrical expenses due to landlord not fixing things. ↑ |

well I know once in a while they will send out a rebate...however the way the government chooses to send them is really messed up.......
everyone who gets gst rebate cheques gets theses once in a blue moon rebates......well we do not get a gst rebate......but probably pay more in hydro then a lot of people who get gst rebabtes......also a lot of prison inmates get gst rebabtes so they get this "fuel " rebates but heck they do not pay fuel us tax payers pay their fuel costs!!!!!!!!
It is rediculas really!!!!!!! they should give these occasional rebates right on our bills as a credit.......that way everyone who actually pays these costs gets them back! ↑ |

do you canadian and maybe even american gals recall the adverts on tv oh say 12-15 years ago. "Natural gas...convert is our national resourse and just pennies to use blah blah blah"
Yeah then people left and right got gas fireplaces to heat...etc........and then........like here if you DONT already have an installed wood burning fireplace or like us firefurnace.....you cant get them now......thats not legal. Existing yes......but cant put a new one in...........go figure huh? ↑ |

| Winn, My telus bill is 60 a month flat...well with taxes on top of that. I get 4000 anytime long distance minutes to anywhere in canada and i think the us...except for the territories (but honestly, who wants to call them lol) plus I get 6 calling features (caller id, call blocking, smart ring, call waiting etc. ) it sucks when I don't use my minutes, but totally worth not having a 300$ bill when I do call lots. ↑ |
