I love my husband! He's like I don't care how much you weigh when u r pregnant, cuz you're carriying my beautiful baby, but when that baby's out you need to get back to your old self. Which I totally agree with. My husband takes very and may I say very good care of his body, so I want to look good for him. Ugh I love his body, he works so hard on it. Can't wait to c him when he gets back!

Good point. Thursday is a great day. My brother in law predicts Friday, and my sister in law says April 1st. I think it would be sad if he was born on the 29th, cus we only have leap year what? every 5 yrs?

This is one you could do pretty easily. :)
I copied and pasted so Im not really this intelligent :) Though I might like to think so.

Nipple Stimulation to Self-induce

This is a practice often recommended by midwives when a woman is long past due or when labor is stalled. Nipple stimulation causes the release of oxytocin, the same hormone that causes uterine contractions. Many women report, however, that the contractions produced from this method are much stronger and more painful than natural labor, but are not any more effective. Please note: In order to use this method for induction, you must stimulate the nipples for long periods of time. The usual recommendation is 15 minutes of continual stimulation on each nipple each hour for several hours. So, the amount of stimulation you may experience during intimacy, while nursing an older child, or while pumping your breasts while pregnant will not cause you to go into labor. The general recommendation on these activities is to abstain from them when your condition warrants doctor recommended pelvic rest. Please check with your practitioner before trying this.

Here is another about the membrane thingy :)

Stripping Membranes

There is a procedure your doctor or midwife can perform called "stripping" or "sweeping" your membranes. The healthcare professional will insert their finger(s) into your cervix and sweep
from side to side, pulling the membranes (bag of water) away from the mouth of the cervix and the lower uterus, and in the process stretching and irritating your cervix. Sometimes this will generate local production of prostaglandins and enough of the necessary hormones to start labor. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 attempts to begin labor. Many women find this to be a very uncomfortable, if not painful, procedure. This is a medical intervention and should be taken as seriously as any medical induction method

Are there instructions for massaging nipples? I mean I don't mind sitting here for 15mins or hrs at a time playing with my nipples, but is there a certain way you need to fondle them or what?

Name: jen85 | Date: Mar 27th, 2008 6:36 AM
I think that's what she did, because when she asked me if I wanted her to massage my cervix I agreed. Then I asked if she was like stripping my membranes and she said yes. But I don't feel any different. Just the regular BH period cramp feeling that doesn't get any stronger.

I think it can? Maybe he is just gearing up and it will start to get stronger. Hmmm Im still searching for more to :)

I found instructions on nipple stimulation. I'm getting colostrom all over my hand! I'm supposed to stimulate one at atime for 5 mins, wait 15 mins and do it some more. I guess if you stay up a little longer, we will find out together if it works ;)

Oh I found you some instructions for the nipple thing :)

Using nipple stimulation to induce labor has been practiced by women for centuries. This stimulation brings about the release of oxytocin, which is the natural form of pitocin. Oxytocin causes contractions, which can lead into true labor. It's important to note that this will only happen if your body is already close to labor. As with all natural labor induction techniques, don't attempt this until you are over 40 weeks.

It is a practice often recommended by midwives when a woman is long past due or when labor is stalled. It causes the release of oxytocin, the same hormone that causes uterine contractions. This can be done manually or with an electric breast pump.

When this is performed, the uterus sometimes becomes hyperstimulated, meaning that it gets too little rest between contractions, so use caution and consult your practitioner first.

Here is a guide to help you understand the process:

Only massage one breast at a time.

Grasping the areola, rub in a circular motion until a contraction begins. It's important to mimic the suckling action of a baby.

Stop after the contraction begins.

Wait 15 minutes, then repeat.

Stop using nipple stimulation if the contractions are 3 minutes apart or lasting 1 minute or longer.
