Na, it's okay. You fold it up to get it inside. It's kind of funnel shaped. The tube is a bit uncomfortable - I'll have to trim it. It says in the info. that some woman cut it off completely. I haven't tried removing it yet. I think you just push it to one side a bit and the seal releases. You then ease it out.
The suction is quite strong. I got cramps in my uterus after I'd put it in. They're wearing off now. I do have an IUD, so that might have something to do with it. ↑ |

what are iuds like? Im going to have one after the baby comes. I cant go on the pill because of my anti-convulsants, I may be able to have the implant though. Im not sure now. How long do iuds last? is it 3 months? or did i dream that? and when you take them out...can you ttc straightaway?

I love my IUD. I don't have any problems with it at all. It's my second one. I had my first one removed and I became pregnant 6 weeks later, so that's pretty good :-D
The Mooncup is easy to remove. The suction is pretty fearsome though! *LOL* I could get used to it! No more worrying about how many tampax I have to buy in and worrying about when I'm due on.
It's easy to get in. It doesn't go up as far as a tampon. ↑ |

Mine is plastic with copper wire. I think they're all plastic now. I don't know much about the others. There's a few different kinds.
It doesn't really hurt to have it inserted. Get a doctor who's used to doing them. You get a tiny bit of cramp -it's a bit like having a smear test. ↑ |
