oh, its ok, at least this way i never have to worry about whether or not i may be pregnant (since im prone to skipping cycles)! so there is an advantage! ↑ |
Wow, luckey. Hope you get to travel with him sometimes! ↑ |
I can't go all the time because our daughter is in school. I plan to go with him when he visits South Africa if I can. I want to go to a game reserve. I want to go to Australia when he goes. But I think I would starve in China. I am a picky eater. I have been to Belgium, Spain, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Holland. The most interesting place I ever visited was a concentration camp that was preserved from WWII. I will never forget it. ↑ |
mspeachpit---well, at least you have cuddle time, right??? I always tell my hubby I need to steal his warmness because I'm always cold. I love to cuddle but usually I just can't get away with a cuddle, something else has a mind of it's own and then I'm screwed (litterly). ↑ |
Wow,that's really cool luckey! You have been to more places than most people would see in 10 lifetimes, you are fortunate! ↑ |
luck_in_life---At least you do get the pleasure to visit some places. That's great!!! Does your daughter get to go, too!! If so, what an experience for her!! ↑ |
Well Luckey one thing we have in common is the consentration camp visit. I was in Europe traveling a few years ago. Went to a consentration camp in Germany. I have to say, it was very hard! ↑ |
Alright TWEETY! Clean it up!!! LOL! I'm kiddin! ↑ |
Sorry, I couldn't resist. ↑ |
That's okay,I was just kiddin ya! :) ↑ |
CodyJody, I don't think that I could deal with that!!! That sounds scarey. I know your husbands jump as "fire jumpers" ↑ |
Meant to say husbands job as ....... ↑ |
That is why I call myself luckey-in-life. I know I have been lucky. ↑ |
no, we dont get along well enough. he's too much of a jerk most of the time so i usually cant stand being around him. miss him when he's gone, hate him when he's home. what a relationship! lol ↑ |
The concentration camp was very sad. I hope they continue to preserve them so people will never forget. ↑ |
I would be nervous about my husband working in the chemical part of the plant!.. I'm thankful, he does not fight fire much these days! ↑ |
The chemical plant doesn't bother me, Both my parents worked there for years. My dad worked there and was a part-time police officer. Before we had kids, I worked for the fire department on the ambulance, so the department worries me, but I know how everything works. It is not like in the movies. ↑ |
The one I went to, was in the middle of a housing community. They just had a brick wall all around it. Crazy! I could never live there! ↑ |
Lizzi, I have seen alot of places. I am 41 and I have lived in 10 states and in Europe. But the bad thing is that I have moved alot and it can get lonely. ↑ |
Momof3 my ex husband is a police officer,,,,,thats one reason he is my ex! Very hard to live with, specially when they drink! ↑ |
mspeachpit---I'm sorry, I had an ex like that. When he was away for work, all I needed was the walnuts he had and a decent paycheck. I loved it. But, couldn't take him anymore, he created too much drama and still does. So, instead of using his walnuts, I walk around with grapefruits only towards him though. ↑ |
The concentration camp I visited was on the Holland-Belguim border. It was completely preserved. I saw the places people slept and the shoting range where they were killed. There was a memorial that listed many of the people who died there. ↑ |
My hubby-to-be is an operating engineer (big CAT equipment and such). ↑ |
lucky_in_life---Did you get an errie feeling being at the camps?? I can sit hear and feel my heart in my toes. ↑ |
Tweetybird,
I have picture from the camp in a box in the basement. They had displays of the actual uniforms the SS officers wore. The guide showed us the room they used to torture people. ↑ |
Thats how the one I visited was. They even have put up pictures of the people being led into the execution chambers, and such. SAD! ↑ |
Have you read the book "Night"? ↑ |
It is something you don't forget. It is really amazing how one leader made so many bad things happen. ↑ |
Luck_in_life---My hubby's grandmother's brother was in seven major invasions with General Patton and has pictures from there, too. They showed the bodies in holes while bulldozing. Sad, very sad. ↑ |
My hubby is a Pharmacy Intern, and he will be licensed this spring. ↑ |
