HI E
No do not worry about it,. You were not harsh. I guess you hit a nerve I always wish we could do more for the children of the word. Somuch heart ach, death sickness starvation...seems endlesss.
KId watch TV and see all these cool things for them they will want it .I mean I see some things I would want too. Like a sterio system that if you state you name and the artis or song it willplay it from you collection same as the whole family.. it is all voice activated and has a panel in each roomhidden ...just incase you would rather key it in. It is like a TV with the jacket and all the songs. If it as a video it will play it too...so cool.
We are not going to get it but man I would love it. I mean lets be real...
I would love it more if all the childer of the world would nerve be hunger or in harms way. I am aslikely to stop hunger as that stero system. I wish it were diffrent!

Christmas is definately more about "giving" and celebrating our Lord Jesus Christ. But tradition has been Santa coming down the chimney and delivering presents. I believe in tradition and will always provide gifts for my children to have that opportunity to see their faces light up! Now on another note, we ALWAYS every year donate canned goods, toys and clothing to our local shelter. Why can't you enjoy all the aspects of tradition this time of year? Give AND receive. This year we are actually donating to my daughter's school, our local shelter, and toys for tots (it's actaully a drive very similiar at our local mall). So you shouldn't feel guilty about receiving and buying gifts for your loved ones, that's wrong in my eyes.

Last year at Christmas my son just wanted to hand out presents he didn't want to open any of them. I tried but he only riped a little piece of the paper off and was done. Went back to handing out gifts. He is also just as happy to walk in the store, play and look at the toys in the store adn walk out with nothing as he is leaving the store with something.

I actually just went through all of his toys and seperated them into 3 different piles: Toys he plays with all the time, toys that he plays with sometimes and toys he just pushes aside. We are keeping the toys that he plays with all the time, dividing the toys that he plays with on occassion between my inlaws and my mom and taking the rest to goodwill.

Ethansmom- My daughter is the same way! She would much rather play Santa than open them up herslef. We also donate all the toys she doesn't have use for anymore a few weeks before Christmas.
