I Love Lonesome Dove the mini series. So does my son. We watch it several times a year. I love the part where Woodrow tell Gus they are too old and could die on a dangerous cattle drive. And Gus says: Its living I'm talking about! How you have to live and not sit around. I loooooove it. My favorite scene is where Woodrow is fighting a mean soldier, and Gus has to lasso him with a rope to get him under control.

What is the Jacket? Yep, meeeeeee too. Read all Kings books, love the stand. Read it every summer. Have you ever read Swan Song? It is just like The Stand. Very good book. OOOO I have a BIG list. I also love scary movies. My daughter rented the hills have eyes, and we are watching it later. This is the new version, if you are old enough to remember the first one. But I have to say, I did not like The Cell. Have you read that yet?

Oh! Also there is a good show on Amazon.com. They actually have a weekly broadcast called Fishbowl. It s host is Bill Maher. I know many people hate him, but he doesn’t bug me too much. Anyway, you can see all the old shows, But every show he interviews writers, musicians and people in the movie industry. There is an interview with Stephen King. COOL! And I have several books on my to buy list because the authors were on, and they sounded really good. I am always looking for new books, so it’s a good way to get info on them.

Yea that was good saw it. I can’t remember the name either. Yes because it shocks you so bad at the end. I don’t think I saw the Jacket. I think it is similar to Butterfly effect, and we liked that one allot.

What are your favorite books?

Name: Jen | Date: Jul 22nd, 2006 2:26 PM
I use to read lots of Dean Koonze but don't like them much anymore. Now it seems I read a lot of junk magazines. My favorite movies are Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, and Sweet Home Alabama. My husband can't stand it.

Jen,
There are many Koonts books I also did not care for, but, he wrote one of my all time favorite books is WATCHERS. If you are a dog lover, you will love this book. Also it was one of the only books that actually had parts that scared me, made my heart race.

Layne, two years ago I read Skipping Christmas: by John Grisham, they made the movie Christmas at the Kranks from this. I laughed out loud reading it. The only other book that made me laugh out loud was Forrest Gump, which if you have not read it, has more adventures than the movie. Book that made me cry-Bridges of Madison County.

Charla, did you read The color Purple, I cant remember if you read it, or saw the movie. The book has more information on all the characters, and a different ending to the relationship between Mister and Ceily. It is an easy read.
