I wouldn't punish your daughter for shaving. in fact, don't even tell her that you know. i'd just leave it alone. it really isn't that big of a deal, really. i started shaving when i was 12 without my moms consent, and it didn't hurt me none. in fact, my mom came home from shopping one day, and i was bleach blonde without her consent, and that didn't hurt me none, either. just let her be, believe me, there will be bigger fish to fry. ↑ |
i'm a 14 year old girl. i did the exact same thing your daughter did when i was 12, because i thought my mum wouldn't let me.
if it makes her more confident and happy to shave, then i think you should let her. It's embarrassing at school if you don't shave, even if, like your daughter, you can't really see the hairs.
it's just a part of growing up, at that age we will have little secrets about boys etc, once she's about 14/15 she'll probably feel more able to talk about changes in growing up, and boys etc ↑ |
| Well, my daughter is very blonde but cursed w/her grandmothers hairyness which she is blonde as well. Her legs, arms & brows are just plain hairy. Not little girl hairy but thick. I just gave her the option to start shaving as soon as I read everyones responses. She is 10/4th grade and I don't wont her to be teased when it comes to wearing shorts/skirts this summer. But she said she's not ready. I believe it's up the individual child. ↑ |
