| I have had many large dogs: german sheperd, pointers used for hunting and pit bulls. They were all very loving dogs because we treated them as members of our family. As for having a baby the leading cause of deaths is due to unsupervised children, NO ONE SHOULD LEAVE A BABY ALONE w/ any dog no matter how well trained it is because it can jump on it. There are no reports of supervised children being attacked. ↑ |

| I am almost 5 months pregnant, the baby is due in January! My husband recently got a year old pit bull, and I and the family are worried about how he will react to the new baby. He has been around kids his whole life and never a problem. But I am learning that He may be different when it comes to babies. What can I do before the baby comes to prepare him? ↑ |

| I have a 3 year old blue nosed pit bull who is my baby. I had a baby in February and at about 8 months old I noticed Blue was peeing on all of her things. In her toy box, playpen, walker, car seat, everything. I thought it was funny because I thought he was trying to show us that he wanted his scent on her things because she was new to the family. Now I think he was covering her scent because he did not like her (jealousy). My mother had the baby on the bed and Blue starting coming towards her and snapped at her. If my mother hadn't pulled her away, I am sure he would have bit her hard but he just scraped his teeth against her nose and cheek. I do not know what to do. My guy friends say kill him. I haven't let him back in the house since it happened almost 2 weeks ago. ↑ |
