don;t worry staffs love kids, they are soooo protective of them,i have a 3 year old boy and a 12 year old girl my staff is 1 year old and he adores my kids. but always be cautious and aware of what your dog is doing around babies,i'm shure he will be fine they tend to take everything in their stride!! also it depends how old your staff is and what he is like with other people and kids.GOOD LUCK and don't sign him/her off just yet give it a chance.Hope that helps.

i have a 2 year old staffie and hes great with my neices and nephews which are 5 months, 7months, 18 months, 3 years, and 2 7year olds, i have left him alone with every one, but most staffs will follow there owner if you can get your staff well any dog to stay in his/her bed and stay even when your out the room you'll be okay, never leave your dog with small babies for long periods, but im sure if there gentle you will be fine, ive also known people to slate pitt bull terriers, but these dogs are childrens bestfriends!! ive known many pitts to let children of all ages do anything for them:)
