Shes not really late, she should go in to heat soon.

May I ask why you seem awfully concerned about her going in to heat?

as a sbt owner and lover, can people please consider the state of the rescue homes, before breeding, there are way to many staffys in there that could be wonderfull pets.

staffys are generally gud wiv kids, i have a 8mnth old staffy (charlie) and a 3yr old kid they r like best mates, staffys no the difference tween adults and kids, charlie pulls me wen i walk him, but my 3yr old walks him to school n back every day, they are gentle wen playin, just make sure they have a bed to go to wen theyve had enuf and that the child leaves the dog wen its in its bed, gud luck

congrats on the new arrival. yes staffs are known as nanny dogs. I have a 12 year, 4 year and a 2 year old, I got my staff at 9 weeks old. She is so protective of the kids and also her owners she is great. She even play fights with my 4 year old because he is a tad boystrous. But i can never find even a dimple in his skin. My 2 year old is in the garden with her most days, I sometimes see the dog running in the house not my daughter as she ends up chasing the dog. They are true family pets, you always have doubts no matter what dog. They are very friendly and jumpy round new people but only people bigger than themselves, I have found. Hope this helps. Can always send photos of my children and babes whenever you like.

Staffs will not ever bite, they are the most gentle loving dogs you can ever have. I have grown up with them all my life. And they have loved me, protected me, and never bitten me. I have A staff who is 5 and he is caled Spud. i love him to bits, and i can honestly say, i wouldnt know what id do without him. There is more chance you'll get bitten by a laberador. If you ever ever think they will bite, think again, because forget what the papers say. Its not true , its all lies, because generic aggresion is to do with the dog, not the entire breed, belie what you wan't, but rememmber, there is to side to the story, and dont lisento other people, ignore the whole staffs are icious thing, because there not, they wouldnt like it if we said there favorite breed was icious, just tell your wife that most people said they are not vicious, if your dog is not vicious, then you will know the baby will be fine

I have a pittbull, he's so sweet and I love him so much. He always gives me joy but not so good with other dog. He always barks with them, and always pull him away from them everytime I take him for a walk. He's taking obedience class now at the SPCA where my husband and I adopted him 10 months ago. Tonight was the 2nd meeting and the trainer ask me to pull him out from the class because he's stalking and barking at the dog next to him. I really feel bad after that. . She said she'll give him a chance next meeting and if he he does it again, my dog will be out from the the class ,, and consider getting a private class.
Would anyone give me any opinion about this. I would really like to hear from anyone. ↑

i have an 8 week old puppy who is quite a handful. He is paper trained well, and sleeping is not a problem but when awake he constantly wants to bite everything, even when stroking him,or even when relaxing he is biting your feet! i have 2 small children and they are very patient with him but he is the same with them. Is this a normal puppy stage he is going through and how long does it last?

Hi i am expecting a baby in feb and want a dog as a companion and for the baby to be brought up with dogs, as i'm a lover of them. I have been offered a staff and i'm worried on a staffs temperment towards a baby, i know someone who has a staff and she is a very laid back dog but they don't have children so that don't really help. can anyone help me decide to get it or not.
Thanks

hiya i have a staffie and shes just gone 4 i also have a little boy whos narely 3 and she is great with him,and she was so hyper and boistrus when we got her at 10month old and we thought we might have to pass her on but she calmed right down and was very protective over me all the way threw my pregnancy..my other halfs famley have a cross breed and i wouldnt trust him as much as i do with my staffie....for istance i took mine to the vets today as she has a skin allergy inbetween her pads and my little boy thought if he rubbed them better she wouldnt have to go to the vets,so she let him me and my other half touch them but i always muzzle her when we go to the vets as shes not as nice towards other dogs and cats as she is with people,But when we got into the vets and the vet was touchin them she was growlin and snarlin at her,so it just goes to show how they are with the people that are close to them.and i would reccomend a staffie to people who have the time and effort for them as she does take up alot of time as she just seems to have energy 24/7 but theres never a dull min in are house with her......
